I know it’s early days for Berry as well, but I wonder if he would benefit from a run in the SANFL? I haven’t really notice him at AFL level yet.

Are Cochrane and Berry similar players? Could give Cochrane a full run in the AFL.
different players .. this from Rookie me Central

Joe Berry a small forward
SNAPSHOT: “A crafty forward with clinical finishing skills and a happy knack for consistently hitting the scoreboard with great variety.” – Michael Alvaro

STRENGTHS:

  • Clean hands
  • Evasiveness
  • Finishing
  • Scoreboard impact
  • Smarts
  • Work rate

IMPROVEMENTS:

  • Four-quarter consistency
  • Midfield craft

Berry has an incredible skillset, but above all, his ability to consistently hit the scoreboard is what helped accelerate his sharp rise this year
Berry's smarts and clean hands saw him navigate out of stoppages with great efficiency, leaning on a sharp turn of speed to come away untouched - much like he would to craft a snap on goal. He also has the work rate to play as a high forward or rotating midfielder, covering good ground and utilising his skills on the way back to goal. Add good defensive pressure, and Berry presents a well-rounded game.

Tom Cochrane - Midfielder / Forward

Offering strong contested work and prolific clearance-winning ability, Cochrane has the explosive streak that AFL clubs are searching for. He is gutsy overhead and clean at ground level, making for effective play through the middle of the ground in multiple phases of play.

STRENGTHS:

  • Clean hands
  • Clearance work
  • Power
  • Scoreboard impact

IMPROVEMENTS:

  • Composure
  • Kicking consistency

His power is also felt forward of centre, where Cochrane often hits the scoreboard. He is mostly sighted working high up the ground to help connect the play into attacking 50, leaning on a high work rate and booming kick to do so.
While such play is quite impactful, Cochrane can find improvement in his kicking. He'll often wheel away with bursts of speed before blasting the ball inside 50, but is capable of being more precise when lowering his eyes. Being more composed, more often will allow him to better reach his deeper forwards.
