How did ____ go on the weekend?

Why not consult the Alesana Player Video Database.

Looking at the finals win, we had Vardy/BWill/Brooksby in the ruck, with H Brayshaw (29 touches), Ainsworth (26) in the guts. Josh Smith on the wing. Brady Grey a great WAFL type kicked the winning goal. Young Exxon was there, Cole played, Rotham played, McInnes up front, old man Petrie down back.

Schoey was held out because of AFL finals. Duggan, Ah Chee, Petch, J Cameron came in the following week for the final loss. Just a great deal more AFL adjacent talent.
Is that 18 AFL or ex-AFL listed players? Was that when list sizes were bigger?

Two extra spots. But we did have Riach and Bines who were very raw. We tried to get another club to play Bines in the reserves, and we ended up barely playing him.

We probably did better on the injury front, and we had a pretty strong top-up squad.

Because he got a quarter as a sub, kicked a goal, then went back to the WAFL and kicked five.

That and the current holders of the position aren’t exactly lighting the world on fire.

I get it, we’ve tried Petch a million different ways, but you can’t be slagging the ‘credits crew’ approach for years and then not want a five goal game rewarded, surely.
Why??
We all know in he comes back in, isn’t sighted or limps after doing his hamstring again..time and time again he has proven he doesn’t have it to be a reliable afl footballer…

He should be on the same list sheed if fit and gaff was last year… you will not get picked unless it’s a last resort…

Geez I haven't heard the name (in footy) Constable since back in the Cockatoo days. Remember when Geelong swooped in and took Cockatoo before we could? Just like how they almost did when we couldn't shake that feeling that they steal Champion out from under our noses.

How was Grego today? Only got 12 touches, but good impact?
Pretty physical, probably doesn't quite have the build yet to execute it against seasoned WAFL bodies though.

Could easily have had 2 running goals from outside 50. Looks to have serious toe.

I think when he starts backing himself more we'll have a real player on our hands.

I remember watching Lachie Neale around for SD in the Wafl for 15 odd games in his first 2 seasons.

Was absolute class and just slowly built his confidence and touch, in and out of the Freo league team for some exposure and then came back to WAFL and started really impacting the games.

This is what we need Long and Hewett to do. Need to get them both regularly having 20+ touches and being the ones the team looks to put the ball in their hands so they get used to the pressure and responsibility.

Thanks to all the legends who watched and posted! Grego and HJ coming along nicely

Yeah that's actually an elite side (maybe I'm just getting dreamy when comparing it to some of the lineups we've put out the last 2 years). 17 AFL listed players by my count (16 if we don't really count Riach). Lot of players there who weren't quite up to the pace of AFL but were really solid at this level, Grey (and Robilliard actually) were exactly who you wanted filling out the side.

Franky Watson is a blast from the past too - had some games where he was just awesome to watch.

Stats wise Flynns game today is the best game we've seen from a WAFL Eagle for quite some time (or ever)

27 disposals, 4 marks, 5 tackles, 51 hit outs and 2 goals is a fair game even with no oppo
Add 19 contested possessions, 9 clearances and 3 contested marks to that too. Fair game 😳
