How many times will we wear this based on the fixture?

We probably won't wear it at all, unless we bend the rules and treat it more like an 'away' jumper rather than a clash jumper.

We do play Norf at Marvel late in the year, but they're scheduled to wear their royal blue anniversary jumper in that game, and outside playing them we don't really get the opportunity.

I'd love to see us wear it a handful of times though. Really like the design, so wearing it as an away strip at Marvel/MCG and/or interstate would be fine by me.

One would have to think not a lot, or minimal, or hardly at all but then again we do have the turnover sales which only can be a good thing for the club and perhaps to what you may have been alluding to cat_09..... but I've gotta say the jumper does look great!

Aren't we lucky we get to play an away game at a "Neutral" gather round.

Heaven forbid the AFL show a modicum of fairness and have Adelaide and Port play each other, no no that's to much to ask lets just give them an extra home game instead.

I was just talking about this earlier today, it's like they screwed us intentionally because Scott spoke out about it!

Hey guys.

Can’t see a dedicated Gather Round thread on your board, so thought I would post here.

Long story short, my best mate (who isn’t actually on Big Footy) & who is Geelong MAD, has been living in Denmark for the past 12 years.

He has previously only ever travelled back to Adelaide at Christmas time, but given it was a milestone birthday for me last weekend, his girlfriend & him actually travelled over for the party last weekend, which was a lovely thing to do.

He has travelled to Melbourne for a few days this week & will be attending tonight’s game at the Cattery. His first game there in about 15 years.

They leave back to Denmark shortly after Gather Round. Unfortunately, he was unable to secure tickets to the Thursday night Geelong game at Adelaide Oval.
I know it’s a long shot, but if there is anybody here that had previously purchased tickets to the Geelong Gather Round game, but is now unable to come over, is there any chance I could purchase them off of you?
I’d love to be able to surprise him with 2 tickets ahead of that game & before he leaves the country a few days later.

Good luck tonight & especially against the Crows next week.

Side note: he’s that die hard Cats that he refused to wear a North Melbourne scarf when we went to the Roos V Crows game on Sunday.

Cheers,
Mark.

Hey does anyone know what's going on with the tickets for Geelong v Hawks.

It's saying GA allocation is sold out

There's likely a couple of things in play:
  • As Geelong only has 1 "home" MCG match this season, there's no reserved seats package for Geelong members
  • I used to have a reserved seat for our MCG home games but this year I simply get GA access for all our MCG games, including our home game
  • I could upgrade to a reserved seat for this match at the special price of $40, but **** paying that

I'm thinking they'll have to keep an allocation of GA seating for Geelong members who've got that entitlement with their membership

$40 is ridiculous. Used to be around 10

Iirc I paid $7 for the Collingwood game last year on a friend's membership restricted view. It was brilliant it was like a tiny bit of the right hand side boundary line you couldn't see

They advertised as "from $15", which may take been the price for a child upgrade

I couldn't get anything less than $40

Oh yeah I know that from price is bullshit

The other option is to just pay concession and risk it

As the upgrade is linked to your membership, you have to upgrade as per your membership type
