Naughton in doubt - has had a knee injury at training.

I wouldn’t risk him after his pre season issues - just play Croft and see what he can do.

Sadly I’d be looking to rejig our entire forward line at this point. Potentially Lobb or Buku forward specially if Naughton doesn’t get up for this one.

Forward line of Darcy, JoD and Buku/Lobb is.. not great.

Or screw it, play Marra and see what value we can scratch out of him at this point.

Interesting from that article that Hynes is living with Dom Brew??? Would think that's a bit unusual that a first year player isn't living with other Dogs teammates and instead a VFL player at a different club. Not necessarily a bad thing or anything, just different.

Maybe Brew still a chance mid season..

More chance of Hynes playing as a Pseudo third tall with JOD and Darcy.

Buku could be a chance to swing forward if Naughton misses, can't see us moving Lobb from down back now with how important he is to us there. And 0% chance Marra plays AFL any time soon. Not training regularly at all and will need a block at VFL level before we see him earn his spot back in the 1s

Also Davidson may play more fwd if Naughton were to miss as another third tall option. Still light on but has good fwd instincts and is sneaky tall.

Fans will be drinking Coopers in the stand watching Cooper flog the lions on the field

Or Poulter has been in the Es a lot, and has played forward a lot in the pre season.

Poulter is technically tall, but I just can't see him playing as a "tall" forward, leading out from the goal square or up the ground and crashing packs / contested marking against AFL backmen. Could prove me wrong but he just doesn't strike me as a guy who plays as tall as he is or would have the forward nous needed to fill in for a Naughton.

Davidson more valuable on the wing, methinks. Especially after 31 against Carltank.

He may well be, only thing with Norwood though is I believe it is extremely narrow so the traditional wing role and Davidson's asset of run provided in space on the wing may be a fair bit more limited against the Lions.

You know that Gardner will get a shot before Croft if the coach gets his way
Croft had one touch last game so that isn't surprising.

I suspect Davidson spends more time forward as marking support. Matt Kennedy is quite capable overhead as well. We don't bring in a tall, perhaps Cleary returns down back for Baker.
