Facebook Nuffies declared Eagles new Chairman of Selectors

West Coast has announced that senior team selection duties have now been handed over to the legion of barely literate mouth-breathers who form the collective hive mind of ‘Facebook Nuffies’ across the club’s social media platforms.

The Nuffies have wasted no time in flexing their collective muscle, immediately dropping popular targets of disdain Tim Kelly, Tom Cole and Tyler Brockman, while also jettisoning Noah Long for being ‘too Victorian’.

Nuffies spokesperson WayneandDeb Riley of High Wycombe is overjoyed by today’s developments but also concerned about the lack of known Nuffy Targets remaining in the line up - “Getting rid of Cole, Kelly and Bookmen is a great start but where do we go from here? Who is next? Harry Edwards? Witherton?? - as proud Nuffies we need certainty moving forward of who must go next.’

Nuffie Doreen Masterson of Dianella declared that she would maintain her focus on removing Oscar Allen from the team, captaincy and state, while Peter Whiting of West Adelaide, who doesn’t really watch much footy, believes it’s about time Harley Reid pulled his head in.

Bo Allan remains unselected.

Whats going on with Bo? Thought with Cole out he would be a natural pick. Or would love to see Grego in.

Interesting that Davis was retained.

Very much a pop gun midfield.

Hunt plays better in the backline than on a wing so that is good.

Owies very lucky, his output has been ordinary to say the least.

Davis 5 in a quarter, decent start and is real fit. Owies I agree but pressure and tackling just keeping him in. I do not like him with the ball much so far though!

"Rewarding the right behaviours" is the best statement ive heard from this club since well 2018.

Its whats been missing for a long long long time. A great step and start by Mini this. Our performances suck... but so does the culture. Gotta fix the culture before you can tackle the performance which is what we are doing

Haven’t really read this thread this week. Or any others for that matter

Tall defender (Edwards) replacing small defender (Cole) makes sense especially with McKay returning for Carlton. Cole the worst performed small back makes way

Ryan in for Brockman is an upgrade

As is Waterman for Long although I fear that leaves us one tall forward too many. Seems unlikely Allen goes back since Edwards has returned meaning our forward line has all of J Will, Reid, Allen and Waterman running through there.

Hutchinson for Kelly is a huge call that sits right on the brave/stupid line. Hutch hasn’t played since R1 when he did his hammy so that in itself is a big call. Dropping Kelly for him whilst retaining Davis is putting a lot of faith in the kid but ultimately McQualter should be applauded for making a senior player accountable

Hard to see us winning with such a young group but prioritising effort sets a standard that hopefully repays McQualter down the track

Good Mini to finally axe underperforming players.
It's a small step though but his kept underperforming Oscar Allen in the side.
Although I think maybe that's because we need Allen to improve so we can ship him for Compo.
Can't have him playing WAFL and expecting a big contract from another club.
The bigger contract he gets the better it is for us so hopefully Oscar can come into some form.
We desperately need his compo picks so can see why we are persistenting with him.

I look at Carltons backline and well it is tall itself so maybe it wont hurt us too much this week

Silvagni, Weitering, McGovern as 3 talls and then Nick Haynes who plays tall moreso then small means we can probably go a bit taller this week

Graham got pushed out to a flank last week, only attended less than a quarter of the CBAs. I think he comes back into the middle and Hutch plays HHF or wing with the occasional stint in the guts.

If we still get flogged what are the "credits crew" whingers going to complain about next?
if we get flogged, but the youngsters step up, I doubt the normal people who want to see progress will be bothered.
