Atkins and Smith in the first half. Holmes came into it, then our pressure escalated immensely after the half time break.

55 attempted tackles in the second half, 31 of them stuck. Our kicking % also improved after the half by a fair margin.

Still some effort by our small forwards was average, but guys like Atkins and Danger just imposed themselves with a massive ‘will’ to get the footy.

That’s what we have to learn all over the ground, that even if you’re behind, force a spillage. That’s what Danger does best.

Agree 10000% he's always Taylor Walker to me. If I knew his middle name I'd use that too.

What a win those type of games can be so significant for the playing group.
The midfield was superb generally our weakness was able to win ball, clearance, and spread well.
Defence turned it around the second half and forwards got their mojo but the most pleasing aspect was our forward pressure eventually.
Shoutout to Danger, Smith, Holmes, Atkins, Lawson, Guthrie, and COS. Thought MOC was handy and one thing you can’t deny he is tough.
I’ll back OHenry to come back into form but he is a hard watch at the moment.

We are an average team when our pressure isn't up. When it's right up we are a good team as the forward half has weapons and the front half game protects the defence.

I'm not sure we can physically bring the pressure all year with the age of the list profile we have but if we do then we can make impacts.

Yep. Look at the prelim. Our average pressure rating in the finals was 180/190 then we pulled out the 140 in the 3rd against Brisbane and dropped the cup.

We can win the flag if we can sustain the pressure throughout the finals series.

I have never given Atkins much credit for Football talent, but you cannot criticize his endeavor. He does all the hard things, tackles, chases, smothers, blocks. He is hard at the footy. A good team player. Gotta love him.
