A lot of talk about Adelaide's 5 day break.

Their game started all of 18 hours after ours.
We still got two more sleeps and weren't playing interstate, in the heat, against what has turned out to be a much better side than Melbourne. Adelaide a bit stiff on the fixture there.

EDIT: Yes, I know, one more sleep. Somehow I convinced myself that Adelaide played on Sunday.

Neale did his part. He attacked every contest, beat ROB in the ruck a fair few times, and even floated back to take a vital defensive mark.

Henry shirked every single contest, made horrible decisions, and directly resulted in a couple of goals going up the other end. He does not deserve to stay in the team on that performance.
The thing I don’t like about Henry is that goal which was shepherded through tonight by both Dangerfield and Cameron if Henry was there he would’ve tried taking it himself

Spot on. He tried an impossible inside/out checkside from the boundary on the left, rather than centering it. Every single decision he made tonight, was with him in mind, and not the team. He shirked every contest, and he made the team actively worse by him being in it. He needs to go back to the VFL, and get his mind right, because he's clearly not in the right headspace to be playing seniors every week.

AFL has been endeavouring for years to remove HTB calls from the game with how it's adjudicated.

They are now working on removing marking from the game with the not 15 calls.
I agree with the ‘not 15’ calls being increasingly policed. The rule was brought in to get rid of dinky kicks breaking up the flow and was not being adjudicated well. Still needs more consistency from the umps though.

Would recommend starting it at the exact time that David King said the Crows might put ten goals on Geelong here.

Reminds me of that Richmond game a few years back where we were 9 points down at half time and King said it was a "long 9 points". We came out and kicked 13 goals to 2 in the 2nd half and won by 63 points. 🤣

How do you get 2 more sleeps in 18 hours?

This is their bonus 12th home game, it's only fair to give them some disadvantage coming into it.

The 5 day break thing is a myth. It's just a missed training session. Any time anyone has done a stats analysis, the results are 50/50. What is relevant is consecutive weeks of having less time than your opponents. It can accumulate. But tonight there is no evidence to suggest it should have had any relevance whatsoever.

They've been pretty good on HTB this year, they paid them pretty consistently tonight, especially in the second half.

Me too. It was getting ridiculous.

As per Scott, for Stengle it's just cramp and could have come back on if needed but they opted to keep him on the bench to end the match

Mullin took a heavy fall on his knee and while he could have played on they decided to pull him and get ice on it
