How the hell did they get that done with the backline outs? That's pretty stupendous, all things considered.

Thought SDK really stood up in the D50; plenty of spoils, plenty of run, was never out-pointed in a genuine marking contest that I saw. On the lead maybe once or twice at most.

I was very pessimistic during the game, as I knew their form and have watched the Crows play this year and reminded me of an upcoming young Cats in 2005 and 06. A sprinkling of veterans and a bunch of hard running kids.

To beat them in Adelaide is extraordinary. I believe their home ground advantage is as good as ours.

Praise must go to those who played at the level required for the longest. I think Atkins and Danger was at that level the entire game, Holmes and Smith just slightly below.

The rest came on board the half.

What a win, probably one of our best away wins in 10-15 years given the context.

That’s because he excels there. We tried him in a position that he has absolutely no confidence in

One of the great wins this one.

A real arm-wrestle for most of it. Then mid-way through the 4th you could see we had them.

The pressure. The gut running. The 1%ers. Just gutsy stuff. The looks of exhaustion and seeing guys like Atkins and COS pushing past it. The exquisite soccer skills and deft touches from the likes of Close and Miers. The captain this year leading us from the front. Smith like a running machine. Holmes becoming an on-field leader. Guthrie already one of the finest. Blicavs just unable to be beaten in any role over 120 minutes.

The mantra seemed to be leave it all out there tonight and earn yourselves the win.

Adelaide - make no mistake - are a quality side. They didn't look like they were doing too much wrong for much of the game. I'm sure their own fans will dispute it and maybe the previous week game took a bit of a toll, who knows. But in my opinion it's the type of game that supporters of the losing team (whether it was us or them) should be like "hats off", because that was good, too good.

Do we play them again? I think there's a fair chance at September.

Enjoy every moment of it

And celebrate with a Farmer's Union
I spent the whole game sitting next to Canadian swans fans who were super excited to see football, hugged a few random crows fans that wished me well, and ended up in a basement off hindley St listening to some duelling harmonicas in a blues open mic.

Gather round is both weird and amazing

Was that Miers worst game since being recognised as a good player?
From where I sat he looked bad. I absolutely love what he brings but it requires some space to work in. When he got it he was still Gryan but the Crows, however they did it, denied him space to pick off a target.

I think he could have done better but I think this was mostly a reflection of a team that couldn't give their outside player outside space

Stanley might be playing best football of his career. It is almost like this unexpected Indian summer that he didn’t expect to have has freed him up to be the best version of himself.

We need to keep the big man fresh.

He won't play much for a while but hopefully will be fresh for finals.

Underrated part of the win: Crows can't blame the umpires for the loss 🄳
Trust me, they tried.

Biggest bunch of sooks you will encounter. Every free kick against them was a crime against humanity.

As time was expiring I let em know that we had won it fair and square. The response was to head for the exits to beat the traffic. Ciao.
