The newspaper is sent to print before the sports writers have time to write it. Advertiser never has the previous nights game infoSo after a morning out and about in the heat, I'm settling down with a cold one in the hotel lobby.
Grabbed a copy of today's (Adelaide) Advertiser. Kid you not, no mention of last night's game at all. Hilarious
Living in the moment. Sitting at home I went through 8 beersIs anyone else still a bit dusty from last night.
I really didn't think I drank that much![]()

I must have polished off 10 beers. I'm supposed to be getting on the beers at the footy next 3 nights in a row too.Is anyone else still a bit dusty from last night.

Better put Humpries in the will tooI must have polished off 10 beers. I'm supposed to be getting on the beers at the footy next 3 nights in a row too.
If i die tell Lawson Humphries i love him.
Oh yeah, tell my kids that too. That i love Lawson Humphries
Could be a good nickname for him, "double bird"Watch certain oppo supporters somehow turn this into a bad thing..
Better put Humpries in the will too
You think he'd want to inherit my debts?Better put Humpries in the will too
Baz sticking up for the captain
Brilliant post!Plenty of positives from that second half. The Cats have some serious belief in their ability to stay in games and give themselves a chance.
Ollie Henry (as others have said) is a real worry. That's as bad a 4 weeks he's served up since being recruited. O'Connor was very shaky early and cost a couple of goals with turnovers, but got better as the game wore on. Miers is off a bit but I think he'll work into the season ok. Biggest watch on him is that I reckon he's shirking a few contests - that's a worry.
Highlight for me is watching Holmes and Smith run opposition sides of their feet. Smith's running ability and getting to multiple contests is elite. Even Holmes said post match that he has Smith covered for speed - but on gut running and distance efforts Smith is miles ahead of him.
One of the great wins with key injuries. They were also unlucky with the break but it comes full circle when we play the pies.
B2b 6 day breaks and they get b2b 8 day breaks.
Round 9 short break going interstate and round 11 5 day breaks coming back from Adelaide
Yeah, I tend to agree. He's definitely not lighting it up at the moment. And he was fumbly as hell last night, plus a few really poor kicks. But he's working hard up and down the field, getting involved in plays, flying at everything he can and at least bringing the ball to ground. He's a super-talented kid with loads of potential. I hope he finds his mojo but personally hope they persist with him for a few more weeks yet before considering anything else.Just quickly on O Henry
He is a bit of a whipping boy on here, yes he could go a bit harder or do a few more things
But he kicked 1, had a hand in a couple more
9 touches and 2 tackles (prefer a couple more also)
but there are far worse performing forwards out there.
AND forget the Hollywood Hawks
Cat Ball is where it's at!![]()
Used to be better at crow park but since moving to AO seem to have become worse. Maybe less opposition supporters there to balance it out?Really? I've always found them pretty good
I'd love to know what he had written before last night's game.I hate it when the media jump on the bandwagon after a good win.
Either be there when we drop games or F off.
In an ideal world, Bailey would have just ignored it and maybe reported it to someone. But he's only human. I say this without knowing what the Crows supporter actually said, but it must have been bad, going by Bailey's and a few other players' reactions. There are some real pillocks out there. Is it a good look? No
‘The president’ Lindner torpedoed a goal from Centre square last qtrThat number 5 was crazy. Bews kicked one on the run from the boundary to take the lead. And wasn’t this the game Lindner took the kick ins and was torping it over the centre circle?
Said it during the game, if they don't beat us tonight, they won't for a long time.Yet the best time to face us with no Stewart, Henry or Kolo.
They had every right to win last night and failed on the big stage.
In the 3rd Q as we were still behind I said the longer this went on the less credible Adelaide are as a team.Said it during the game, if they don't beat us tonight, they won't for a long time.
Gather round hype, home crowd, three talls on fire, three talls out for us, five goals up....you couldn't ask for much more to be served up to you.
Would love us to match up with them in the finals.
