Do we have the best record of any 'foreign' team when we play in the City of Serial Killers? Must be pretty close.

Please, oh PLEASE Catters wipe your backsides with the Wees & Poos in 11 days' time - for the good of football we must put a stop on the Squawks!
😹 😹 😹

Too funny!

Very triggering. . .
To the time I ran out of petrol between Snowtown + Truro šŸ™€

dont want to pour cold water on it but is it a worry we always seem to need dangerfield to provide the inspiration, the ignitor for guys to follow. i say this knowing tom atkins was the best on ground this game, just seem we need a spark and is always the captain.

the guy is 35, cant expect him to play every minute of every game.
Selwood was the inspiration for years. When we lagged, his head went over ball + dragged the team with him.

Last night Danger did it.

Next captain will do it too.

Grew up in SA. Can confirm. Often in pubs when arguments arose between Port / Crows fans, the Crows fans would just start shouting "119" over and over again, and there I was, over in the corner, not telling anybody I was a Cats fan and enjoying the moment.
I've lived in Adelaide for 20 years. Coming back to S.A. after the 2007 Grand Final, the Crows boys at work cheered like I was some kind of a rock star. Power supporters sheepishly, with their heads down, said nothing.

It has been great for us SA based cats fans ā¤ļø

Best rivalry in football easily

And a genuine rivalry at that

Not some faux rivalry like supporters of some teams seem to think we have with their team

Not for overseas, last year they did. The year before no. If it were an AFL directive for clubs to allow full replays without country limits then :thumbsupv1: to the AFL.

I'm not like Daz, to be willing to shell out for the subscription. :winkv1:
Shell out for a VPN at least you can watch the replay

atm the moment the club website is showing the victories which is cool, so a reprieve there. It's really only those damned weekday matches. Weekends I can usually watch.
As a greybeard, I default balk at paying for sports on TV. Just a mental block or something. :winkv1:

For sure. It's actually made me hate Hawthorn less, as I respect them so much and love the rivalry. Their supporters seem far less insufferable compared to Tuggers fans these days.

One of my fav experiences at the footy was that Tom Hawkins game in 2012 - as it was a Hawks home game I was sitting top level in the GA section and at the end we were kicking to in the last quarter. I had a couple of randon Geelong fans sitting beside me and directly behind us was a group of 3 or 4 Hawthorn fans, and we shared some friendly banter throughout the match

We jumped out to this crazy first quarter lead and the Hawks fans were about ready to concede the match saying we were simply too good for them, then as Hawthorn started to pick things up they got a little chirppier but it was never abusive or derogatory towards anyone

They were pretty excited until those last 10 seconds, when Hawkins took the mark and we were all on edge. As Hawkins kicked the ball I remember standing up to see if it was going to make the distance and obviously the Geelong fans all erupted with joy, while it was disappointment for Hawthorn fans. The group behind us said congrats for the win & looking forward to the next match

There’s clear rivalry but also respect

It was one of the most unbelievable games of footy. I remember it clearly as day. When Hawk kicked that goal after siren I launched off the couch that high I almost put my fist through the ceiling.
