It was only pressure because Rory brought it on himself.
4 double bogeys and giving up putts along the way. Should’ve been an easy -15 week for him, given how well he played. Finally the shackles are off, maybe he ll go for broke now and perhaps go to the next level with no l pressure

No doubt Rose will be annoyed. Shoot 10 Birdies and four bogeys would leave a massive What If.
Rory did his absolute best to blow it, fortunately fate gave him one more chance.
Much like Mickelson now the tapes have been released will be interesting to see how he goes.
Unlikely as it is on current form, it would be funny if Spieth immediately joined Rory in the career slam group in the very next major![]()
Could happen.
This Masters Result was the best for Patrick Reed since he won it in 2018. Speith finished top 20 also, so there is at least some form there.
Though it's odd that Rory has copped so much more shit for his Grand Slam chase than Speith has, I suspect it's because Rory was chasing the Masters, which has so much more romance around it than the PGA does.
Quail Hollow is no joke though. Whoever wins there will deserve it.
It's because Rory is better and non Yank.
Talk about trying to make something out of nothing
Jordan's more immediate focus needs to be staying inside the Top 50 in the Fedex. He isn't the player he was - primarily because his irons now stink. His rank in Strokes Gained approach from yardagesIt's because Rory is better and non Yank.
And Bryson was trying to get in Rory's head - by geeing up the crowd on the Saturday and again before the start of the round on Sunday. All gamesmanship and it's all good.Tiger also totally ignored Finau in 2019 in the final group.
These guys are in a zone we have no idea about.
Yeah, after laying up and having around 80 odd yards left, anywhere left was fine as it funnels down towards the holeone of the most bipolar rounds of golf we have seen but I'm very glad Rory got it done.
I was shitting bricks for him when he put that ball in the water on 13
Yes Jordan is a strange one, confidence and a few other things are in play here combined, one thing I will say in his defence is you don't lose your ability, no matter what, but every year more up and coming players are coming along, will he win the odd event on tour, possibly he's to good not to, but to win a major you've got to be at the top of your game + believe in yourself, have lots of confidence and your form has to be showing that, its a wait and see at the moment for Jordan.Jordan's more immediate focus needs to be staying inside the Top 50 in the Fedex. 200-225 156th
175-200 162
150-175 163
125-150 152
I have very little hope, but would love for him to return to form. But with only 2 wins since 2017, it looks unlikely

Can't be cool when Tiger does it, and shameful when Rory does it.
Rory has won there four times.Could happen.

He had wrist surgery last year. Dunno about 18. The surgery will hopefully allow him to practice more.he had hand surgery in 2018 didn't he? i think that affected him greatly
I'd say you most definitely can lose ability, especially if injury is involved - his wrist might have done that to him.Yes Jordan is a strange one, confidence and a few other things are in play here combined, one thing I will say in his defence is you don't lose your ability, no matter what, but every year more up and coming players are coming along, will he win the odd event on tour, possibly he's to good not to, but to win a major you've got to be at the top of your game + believe in yourself, have lots of confidence and your form has to be showing that, its a wait and see at the moment for Jordan.
You'd think so - it will be interesting to see how he structures the next four weeks. Two signature events and the Zurich if he and Lowry defend. Would only give him one weekend off. Guessing he ditches one of them.Rory has won there four times.
He has to go in favourite.

Stupid to have a Signature event the week after the Masters. Even if Scottie went back to back last year. He’s not playing the RBC.
Yep.Stupid to have a Signature event the week after the Masters. Even if Scottie went back to back last year.
Rose didn't seem to dwell on the what if in his press conference. he spoke pretty well.
You can play the what if game for everyone.
What if Rory doesn't shoot 2 doubles in the first round and runs away with the tournament.
What is Rory doesn't Double the 13th in the last round and takes a 3 shot lead into the last hole.
