Nothing is easy in professional Golf, let alone at Augusta on a Sunday. Doesn't matter how good you are.

Thats kind of the point of the entire tournament.

It is very, very rare that someone leads from start to finish and has an "easy" week, that's without the added pressure Rory has chasing the grand slam for 11 years.

I get the wobbles when I'm in contention on a Saturday at my club for a $50 pro shop voucher. Can only imagine the mental game Rory needed to have to win that.

Rose didn't seem to dwell on the what if in his press conference. he spoke pretty well.

You can play the what if game for everyone.

What if Rory doesn't shoot 2 doubles in the first round and runs away with the tournament.

What is Rory doesn't Double the 13th in the last round and takes a 3 shot lead into the last hole.

Could happen.

This Masters Result was the best for Patrick Reed since he won it in 2018. Speith finished top 20 also, so there is at least some form there.

Though it's odd that Rory has copped so much more shit for his Grand Slam chase than Speith has, I suspect it's because Rory was chasing the Masters, which has so much more romance around it than the PGA does.

Quail Hollow is no joke though. Whoever wins there will deserve it.

Jordan's more immediate focus needs to be staying inside the Top 50 in the Fedex. He isn't the player he was - primarily because his irons now stink. His rank in Strokes Gained approach from yardages
200-225 156th
175-200 162
150-175 163
125-150 152

I have very little hope, but would love for him to return to form. But with only 2 wins since 2017, it looks unlikely

Yeah, after laying up and having around 80 odd yards left, anywhere left was fine as it funnels down towards the hole
so to then see that shot, well I felt a bit like this.....

Yes Jordan is a strange one, confidence and a few other things are in play here combined, one thing I will say in his defence is you don't lose your ability, no matter what, but every year more up and coming players are coming along, will he win the odd event on tour, possibly he's to good not to, but to win a major you've got to be at the top of your game + believe in yourself, have lots of confidence and your form has to be showing that, its a wait and see at the moment for Jordan.

he had hand surgery in 2018 didn't he? i think that affected him greatly

Rory has won there four times.

I'd say you most definitely can lose ability, especially if injury is involved - his wrist might have done that to him.

You're right Rory could have done all those things and good luck to Rose with his result. But once you get into your 40s the game gets harder to succeed at.

My comment was simply relating to scoring 10 birdies and giving four of them back. When you're opponent gives you opportunities it doesn't help your cause when you give them assistance.
