I really don't understand this logic. It takes 2 3 4 5 6 7 years to implement a basic zone defence and the barest amount of sustainable forward half pressure now does it? Clarko has had input into 3 periods of list turnover already to bring in players, yes he missed one preseason but after 2 subsequent preseasons we have still made little to no improvement to our most glaring weaknesses.
We have conceded 100+ points every game so far bar round 2 with an average losing margin of 42 points, even taking into account limiting Melbourne to 66 points our average score conceded is still 110 points a game. I wish I also had access to the numbers of how much we concede purely from defensive transition as I imagine it is astronomical. At what point is Clarko supposed to be taking responsibility for that, if ever?

You speak as if we are still in year one of our rebuild, and just saying it takes time and to "wait until x,y,z player has 150 games under their belt" is the exact same shit we have been saying since Scotts left with very little to show for it, and honestly sounds closer to being that 'magic formula' you speak of than anything else. It's truly bewildering how some are still acting as though expecting improvement now is an unreasonable view.
