I get pissed off from time to time, but I've had it easy in my life, must be bloody hard to be black in this country.

Rioli was lairising and playing up, all the Port blokes were. Had a look at the replay, it wasn't an unbalanced free kick count, Port were giving away frees for fun.

Rioli has torched the Pies, hes not my fav player but this response to him is wrong. There are evil ****s online looking to stir hatred, the trolls may not even be Hawks or even Australians.

I wouldn't be surprised to learn the AFL have shadowbanned Rioli. They don't like people speaking out, they want to control the message.

Willie has every right to feel however he does.

I personally took umbrage to his coconut club jibe, as I think that undermines a shit tonne of work the club has done over the last 5-10 years and I’m sure Shaun, Chad, Jars, Jamie and Karl might have been disappointed by that too, but he’s clearly sided with family regarding historical instances which is fair enough.

Lot if people at Hawthorn working very hard at addressing and redressing the racism issues. I know one or two, they tell me Gowers is moving leave and earth to change attitudes and he's not alone.

Pies in the same boat, it's hard work, it embarrassing we even had to do it but it's worth doing.

We still have racists in the crowd, maybe even at the club. We get it wrong, but if a racist knob airs his idiot views in the Ponsford these days we all shout them down. That didn't happen when Winmar or Mcadam got abused by mobs. I kept quiet, and it was wrong.

Look, I would agree with you, but there is quite literally different perspectives to what happened that have not been proven or otherwise.
Which is exactly why this thing was settled out of court with no actual finding.
It’s also why other First Nations players sided with Clarkson/Fagan.

Declaring systemic racism existed because allegations were made has some merit, but it’s really far more nuanced than that.

Was referring to Dunstall, and the " yeah but" explanation is no different to whataboutism btw. Want to talk about Gary Ablett and his somewhat interesting private life?, people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. All clubs have had issues surrounding this it's just that Cyril aired his grievances publicly which he is well within his rights to do so. It's not specific to 1 club like your implying.

Perhaps Port asked Willie to take down the post knowing full well a bunch of racist flogs would love the opportunity to pile on. I don't know. What I do know is how thin-skinned you must be as a supporter to even get riled up by it. He gave his (legit) reasons why he hates the club I'm a member of - that's fine, the man is entitled to his opinion and he backed it up with examples.
