My point was that going off numbers alone, probably less than 50% attendance compared to round 1

Likely a total of 100k people all up going to several matches

If you want to measure success by filling up 10k stadiums, let’s hold all games at punt rd

There's several other KPI
SA govt cheque $$$$ to AFL as hosts , it's not free you know
Media exposure for a week
I'd suggest on those indicators it's been very successful

I think you are missing the point. If all games were at AO, it’d sell out.

Before dissing it, maybe head along and see for yourself because the only people shit canning it are those who haven’t attended.

Led for 45 min against a top notch opposition. Hugo, Tom Brown, MRJ. Hopper with 2 X 30+ possession games stringing together strong form. Faull worked hard on debut.

I’m sure that’s what they would have said but they decided instead to go with inconsequential decisions like mihocek swan diving and taking someone’s legs out - which I gather wasn’t paid.

And of course this, most controversial part of the game...

MRJ does a great intercept of O'Meara's handball to Brayshaw, runs and bounces away from Brayshaw, Brayshaw dives to tackle him and taps his right-heel and then left ankle on the way down to "trip" MRJ (not paid... the beginning of the end, physchologically speaking, it appeared)... and to top it off, after MRJ stumbles from being tripped, he rolls and then he's off-balance and easily tackled HTB. Great play other than the bad call by the umpire.

Some smooth moves by Miller twice in this play to spoil and then break tackles to exit D50


MRJ with a superbly timed jump to smother Luke Ryan's I50 kick


A good hard chase from banks to affect Switkowski's I50 kick, Broad equals the chase with a good run off his own man to spoil in front of Treacy.


Some slick moves from Vlastuin here to get out of a tough situation and exit D50.
