In one passage of play in the last quarter they called the player Ryan and he roosted the ball on his left? Whoever it was has a long left foot on him

Wouldn’t put too much faith on the name the commentators used, they were wrong more often than not. We’ve got a few lefties.

They kept calling Luke Quyanor who was not playing and same with Dowling

personally I think we won’t see the best of Allan until he bulks up, gets knocked off the line of the ball too easily. Has no strength in the contest, needs to put on at least 5kg of muscle. Has the frame, just needs to fill it out
It was really obvious today. They were just moving him aside

if sully played today we win. Wouldn’t haven’t got nutted in clearances like we did, even with forts dominance.

Hayes looks good. Like bobby makes the most of his touches
West had another good day for lack decent inside 50’s. Presented well and kicked a nice one from 50 to give us the lead back. His follow up work is good as well.
TJ had a very solid first half

Ryan didn’t see much tbh. Can’t remember much of his work
Demattia. Just very disappointing. Unless he somehow had a Richard’s form turn around can’t see him making it. Don’t even know what his position is.
Allan. Lot of his touches were link up hand balls not really ideal. Will give him the benefit of playing last night. But again his contest work needs a lot of work. Seems very “flat footed”

Rucks were just well beaten by a bigger and experienced ruck. Was the difference in the end the clearance battle being so one sided.

Tough loss but bris have some talent.

When Cox is up at AFL Level it hurts our VFL Side as we don't have a Mature Age Ruck to take his Place
Damn this managing stuff - Cox and Sully into that team and it would have been a comfortable win.

Following on from his five-goal haul two weeks ago against Coburg, 2024 AFL draftee Charlie West was back at it again, kicking Collingwood’s first. VFL-listed Harrison Kennedy quickly followed with one of his own, before the tussle with Brisbane began.
It was back-and-forth all afternoon, with the Lions not allowing Andy Otten’s Magpies to break away comfortably.

West’s fellow 2024 draftee Will Hayes stood up in the second quarter, kicking two goals to give the Pies more breathing room on the scoreboard.
However, it wasn’t long before VFL-listed Riley Mason got himself involved, kicking two third-quarter goals to give the Pies a narrow one-point lead at the final break.

The final quarter was a tight content, with both teams going goal for goal. Hayes found his third, while Oscar Steene was able to kick two of his own after being swung forward by Otten.

West – who kickstarted the goals for the day earlier – kicked a massive 52-metre bomb to give the Pies’ a seven-point buffer, however Brisbane’s Darcy Fort quickly found his own goals, bringing it back to a one-point margin.

In a tight scramble in the Lions’ forward 50 in the dying seconds, a Brisbane behind saw the scores level. The home team were able to keep it within their arc on exit, with Lion Fergus McFadyen marking it inside-50 as the siren sounded across Brighton Homes Arena. McFadyen’s kick sailed through for a behind, giving the Pies their first VFL loss for 2025.

Six goals apiece in the last. Entertaining stuff. Missing AFL list quality key defenders.
Surely the northern teams have some of these players in the VFL that are gettable.
