Huh? He is probably our most versatile player who has had to plug different holes due to the mistakes of others. He’s shown he can be a ball-winner, defensive midfielder, and slot into our backline seamlessly. Huge value pickup
Utter rubbish … not most versatile. One dimension half back flanker. Hence why he took our inflated offer. Rarely considered for GWS midfield. good ordinary player

6 years at $900 per season 🤣.. hence Maynard’s statement a few weeks ago. Words along the lines of , “ Hope they got enough in the kitty for me “ for his contract renewal, Perryman on 900 k per season equates to Bruzzy been on $ 1.8 million per season
800-900k a season with the new TPP will be the norm with good players. Not the 5-600k it has been. If Maynard leaves it will be for a reason. Can't think of a player we've lost recently that's hurt us. Maybe Heath Shaw. I think given his change of roles week to week and his willingness to do them when he came to us because he was promised mid time. He has been a good pick up for us.

Yeah, that’s why he’s played significant midfield minutes. Open your eyes

Do you know why he has played in the backline the last 2 weeks or do you just feel like taking a pot shot at him.

Heath Shaw brought us Taylor Adams though.

Adam Treloar has been a superstar at the dogs.

Yep, we wouldn’t have needed Membrey. But we didn’t get rid of Henry, he walked.
Given Membrey cost nothing and is in better form this season, I’m alright with how it turned out

So far. Henry sadly is a gun. Keeping him would have been the right outcome in the long run even though it was never an actual option. But as mentioned it allowed us to land Mitchell for a bargain price.

Here’s hoping Henry never wins a flag and missed out on another 3-4 colllingwood flags during his career.

The one we really missed out on was Max Holmes.
But then we wouldn't have ended up with Titch....

We could have used the Finn pick on Holmes!

Anyway it’s all hindsight. The 2020 draft was a blindfold draft anyway especially with Victorian kids who played almost n no football that year.

Who cares what we paid for him, that's the price of trying to lure players through FA.

His ability to play anywhere on the field and being only 26 years old is huge for us.

I'm glad he's not a 'can only play one type' player as we would've had to blood some youth whilst Houston has been out, and in game when Reef went down it was a simple switch to move Perryman back. That is worth it's weight in gold.

As we phase out Pendles and Sidey, I can envisage Perryman complementing our midfield and becoming a full time midfielder who can support the back 6 at any time we need him to.

Pez had his worst game for us last week. It wasn’t a complete shocker but some of his decision making was poor, which is one of his strengths.

But bringing it up as some way to try and judge the trade in complete isolation of all his other games including some great ones, the fact that he’s played two different positions, and a look to our future midfield, is rubbish analysis.

Too early to say with Perryman. Schultz already looks much better in year 2.

Who knows what the bigger picture is? For all we know, it could be learn the ropes and our systems in defence and then you will move up into the midfield.

Would be nice if his disposal by foot improved.

In terms of the rest of this season then I can see a world where he is under pressure to retain his spot (which is a good thing).

In terms of the money it's a bit like the real world. The new employee will be paid more than the existing employee (in the private sector).

You would hope Maynard who has given his heart and soul for this club receives a similar dollar amount.

He’s been in the midfield rotations when Houston has been playing.
