Most of the banner messages come from the club itself. This week’s is an example of one of them.

Occasionally they’ll take one on from the cheer squad, or one of the supporter groups (the Pride Round one last year came from Rainbow Crows), but the majority the club directs the cheer squad to do.

This week’s was particularly ridiculous because on top of the vanilla messaging, the club wanted the away banner used, which is smaller than the home banners (although somewhat a blessing in disguise with the wind yesterday in hindsight).

Having said that, if people have banner suggestions, the best way to get them through to the cheer squad is to send them a message to them with ideas - either via the Facebook page or their website. Or pop down to banner making on Tuesday nights with your ideas.

Honestly, I’d love to see more creative banner messages on our banner.

Someone actually employed by the Club came up with this? That makes it even worse.

It was a terrible banner but I didnt want to be too critical of volunteers in the cheer squad who are generously donating their time (even if they are a different breed).
