Could watch this all night

He showed his footy smarts by remaining and tracking inside of Hill knowing at some point he was going to have to turn to get the ball onto his right foot. He knew that when he did Hill would be ****ed.

Low key love Dolan.

Not getting a lot of it yet but makes shit happen.

So clean and lowers his eyes!

He needs a year or two of weights and protein before he hits his top form but he’s earning his place in the side every week.

Its going to be interesting watching what Bevo does with the second tall forward over the coming weeks.

O'Donnell looks far more comfortable behind the ball.

I wonder if we saw a preview of his thinking when we saw Lobb spend extended periods of the last forward.
Maybe we switch the plan and play small up forward. Have Norton and Bontempelli as the two talls and surround them with West, Kennedy, Dolan, McNeil etc.

To move Lobb up forward would smack of desperation, giving up strength to try to cover up a weakness. It's not exactly a killer move.

Was surprised that West only had 10 disposals. Probably one of the best games I've seen him play. He's very good in that role of the low possession, high impact small forward.

West having genuinely changed his position is pretty special. A lot of smaller or less successful mids spend time forward but I'm not sure many have reinvented themselves this successfully as a genuine pressure forward.

As much as Lobb forward makes the most sense I'd just hate to lose him from the backline. Time for Bevo to get

Yeah I’m with you, keep Lobb down back, shore up defence as best we can. With Bont being out, it’s showed the quality of the midfield, we can afford to move him up forward for larger chunks of the game. Makes match ups for oppositions pretty challenging.

Sucks so much for Sam and obviously the team. I have faith we can cover and still have a successful season. Top notch performance tonight but my word the Saints sucked so bad, they’ll be bottom 6.

What do you think creative is. Put your next best key forward am clearly best second ruck forward in Lobb. Buss in defence

Aside from the obvious negative, it was a pretty positive night.

Love the work of Freijah and Sanders.

Bont is the best player in the comp.

Great performance but gutted to lose Darcy.

I think JOD back and Buku forward showed both look so much more comfortable in those roles.

Sanders break out game.

Hard to find anyone that didn’t perform.

Bont reminded the comp he’s the best player in it.

I hope we leave Lobb back. Play with the second tall not the backline. We have options.

Buku, Croft, Bont 50/50 mid forward. The second ruck is the bigger issue although a lot of teams now are playing a makeshift second ruck rather than an actual second ruck. Buku could do that role

Listening to commentators constantly be amazed with what Libba brings to the table like he some kind of bush league scrubber. Grinds my ****ing gears.

He's without doubt the most underrated player in the game.

Its an indictment on the game and the selection panels who vote on such things that he has never been AA.

And Id travel long distances to fight anybody who says otherwise.

Great win, Sanders, Freijah and the usuals great. Cleary showed why he was kept on, and Dolan reeks class.
Don't understand pissing around with structure due to the shocking Darcy news.
Lobb is a quality KPF and importantly if watching the last quarter second ruck.
Buss is in form, with JOD and Jones we cover off down back talls
Buku can float

There is a change in mindset that is going to hold us in good stead.

In the post game interview with Dal Santo, Bont spent all of 2 seconds dwelling on the Darcy misfortune. He'd already moved on and was more interested in talking about opportunities for others. Not just in Darcy's likely absence but his own and probably Treloar’s that have given Freijah and Sanders opportunity.

And it's not a lack of empathy for Darcy. It's an acceptance of controlling what you can control. A job still has to be done. That's where the focus is.

We're in for a very good 30 months.

JOD should stay in defence.

I reckon move Lobb back to the 2nd ruck / forward roll otherwise it's naughton or bust.

If we need another tall bring in Buss - it's time.

Who's the best small forward / high half forward across all the state leagues at the moment? Take them mid season.

I'm not sure there's a spot for Buku at either end with JOD in the team. He's the more solid of the 2 for mine.
