I was at the game tonight.

Libba won.
That run down and tackle...

I yelled so loud that my next door neighbour who was watching and texting me during the game heard me.

Davidson runs so hard I got tired just watching him.

But even better is that he just does the little things well, such as applying body pressure, getting a hand or foot in to deflect the ball, or hitting a target in traffic.

Absolute gem of a pick-up.
Absolutely another 3rd round gem which is great work on the recruitment team. Sam just does so much work which allows him to impact a lot so happy for him after working so hard for his opportunity

Also I have to say I am liking Dolan.

Am I going too far to say he reminds me of another small blonde guy that used to play for us (and Brisbane). Jason someone...?

He seems to have great skills, speed, and a low centre of gravity.

Love Dolan , the type of player we have been screaming out for.
And your comparison to that Jason bloke , yeah I see it .
If he was half as good 😍

The balance of the team looked better with Freija playing as a full time mid and Sanders out of there completely which I felt was inevitable. That was Sanders best game, which shows he clearly has a role in the team and the high half forward is a harder position to fill than that of a midfielder anyway.

Jj's body is clearly unreliable but he showed how underatted he is by people on here. He's one of the most creative players in the team who can make something out of nothing and is several levels up from having Baker or Gallagher playing there.

Sucks so much for Sam and obviously the team. I have faith we can cover and still have a successful season. Top notch performance tonight but my word the Saints sucked so bad, they’ll be bottom 6.
Would even give the ruck duel to English over Marshall. Which surprised me as I rate Marshall as a ruck. Saints struggled across the board

Are we any clearer about Weightman? Anything at all?
A lot of mentions post game from people who probably don't know anything that he's a few weeks away, but I have pretty much put a line through him until at least after the mid-season bye (and probably beyond that).

Bont came back in looking like he hadn't skipped a beat.
He's a pleasure to watch. Tackled, hits the ground and all you see is this super hyper awareness, eyes scanning for who he's gonna get the ball to regardless of being held onto and he executes it. Within a second. Sometimes I wonder if a second our time is ten seconds Bont time.
One of a kind. 👍

Dolan reminds me a lot of Gryan Miers, so dangerous at delivering the ball i50 and creating things.

The JJ goal was bizarre, Bont had just been awarded a 50m penalty and the umpire paid advantage?
you're allowed to take advantage from a 50 now if the player chooses. JJ saw the open runway and said sorry Bonty :p

The behind the goals was funny, could see Bont with his hands in the air saying stop stop, then after kick changing his hands to a celebration yes!

Shout-out to English who has been much better in the ruck the last few beats and has beaten McInerney and Marshall in back to back weeks, had a few nice hitouts to advantage tonight also. Still dropping a few marks around the ground and losing his feet, but working really hard and providing a lot of value.

I'll repeat that I was wrong about Cleary. Didn't think he was a player, but is a fine depth 3rd - 4th tall. Nice kick, puts himself in good positions as a defender and runs hard + gets a few handy interceptions.

Really like how Dolan moves and plays like a natural forward. We have something there with him and can't wait until he fills out a bit and builds up a tank. Always a position of need and incredibly valuable to nail those picks. Reminds me a little of a Dylan Moore type which would be great to get.

Cleary looks like a tough reliable footballer. I hope he can have a similar career as Zac Guthrie.

I say this will nothing but love and respect for Jack Macrae, would be in my top handful of fav dogs players ever.

The fact he’s their #1 midfield at this stage of his career says all you need to about the saints. Tonight was as big of a belting as you’d wanna see, scoreboard is extremely flattering for them.

Extremely positive night besides the obvious.

Naughton and English both getting better. Felt like they had almost games, but certainly improving.

Bont is awesome. Liber is awesome. Richards and Kennedy play so well with them two.

Sanders. Best game I’ve seen him play. Finally looks confident with ball in hand.

Davidson must be one of the fittest blokes in the league. I don’t think I’ve seen a bloke run like him play for the dogs.

I hope we keep Lobb back. Sucks so much with Darcy being injured, but I’d rather play Croft forward and leave Lobb to dominate down back.

Only somewhat negative I have is I don’t think Hynes is ready just yet.

SuperCoach is a handy tool to look at player impact, without doing your own deep dive into stats & what they all mean:

Aside from the sub & subbed out, only 3 Bulldogs had less time on ground than this man. He’s not normal.
