Official, Warriors now in worse shape then the Swamprats.
Fair point though Bono, but let's take that one step further. Imagine if I and the core group of Warriors decided to go out and help other clubs knowing they had a greater chance of success then we would be in some serious personnel issues. We've had the likes of zackah pantskyle & Wosh do this in previous seasons, and picked up premierships at other clubs along the way. Ocha905 also left and his new team is now top of the ladder and they're next in line for a premiership by the looks of it.

Now imagine trying to recruit for the club along with trying to retain whoever's still around, knowing that they will never achieve premiership glory while at the club. The recruitment/retention efforts would be so much harder for us then for any other club, all because the sim hates us which is something outside of our control. Our culture and identity is one of the strongest in the league, but there's always a significant handicap that stands in our way. Sure I can promise that any recruits will be immortalised as inaugural Coney Island premiership players, but that's selling a dream that will never happen.

So when people talk of equality of the league and propose solutions on how to make things more equitable for all clubs, nobody seems to care about the inequity of qooty results and premierships. As a result nobody seems to care about the Warriors, who have faced such inequity from the day we started. Which is why all of this talk from the lEt'S heLp OuT tHe StRuGgLiNg ClUbS brigade is empty and meaningless until they acknowledge and help all struggling clubs regardless of what they are struggling against.

I feel your pain.

There is only 1 option left for the Warriors.

I too was in your position, but as an individual.

I was cruelled by the SIM for many seasons. I faced the Qooty Gods wrath season after season.

Like I said there is only 1 option left.

Change the Coney Island Warriors name to fool the SIM.

It's kinda, sort of worked for me so far this season.

Proud of you mate. Now if you believe in equality then you should be advocating for all clubs to have the same euphoria that you just showed. Otherwise don't bother making other parts of the SFA more equal.

I’ve never said anything about equality Bobbo. I don’t want teams folding but it’s on them to fix their shit, nobody gets anything on a plate here, not even Premierships 😃

This sounds suspiciously like old Gil's vision of AFL equality where every club won half their matches and lost half their matches

ie everyone was equally shit

Plenty have been talking about having good people from strong clubs go to struggling clubs to help build them back up. That is an equalisation measure.

Incorrect. The GCS/GWS of the SFA were gifted a premiership in their second season, and another one not long after.

💯 if they want to but no one should be forced to go anywhere or clubs told what they have to give up to save others. Hopefully with the Rats for instance someone with leadership qualities and ambitions to captain and rebuild a club will take it on and positivity will follow making people want to be there.

Not quite. More like all teams have up years and down years, but if the sim is truly random then all club's results will sit within one standard deviation of the mean, and every team would get the chance to experience the ultimate success at least once.

You don’t think the sim is random? Big call Bob, you might wanna take that up with the admin who is in your team and oversees all that.

Yeah get all that. But consider the pair...

The league sees that a club is struggling due to things within their control, there is sympathy generated for that club amongst the banter and people come up with ideas on how to get that club healthy again. Which is the definition of equalisation.

The league then sees that another club is struggling due to things outside of their control. However this is a running joke within the league and instead of sympathy and support they get laughed at. Which is the definition of exclusion.

Now add those two together. What if a heap of Warriors leave to another club because they know they have a better chance of getting a premiership elsewhere. Many have proved this to be the case in the past. Then the Warriors are left in the same situation as the Swamprats with am absent captain, a non-existent LG and match thread posters you can count on one hand. They too would need to be rebuilt, but the difference is that they have to rebuild knowing that the club will never win a premiership, which apparently is a major drawcard for recruitment. So equalisation means nothing if you're just trying to build clubs with few posters up without dealing with the issues that could cause clubs to struggle in the first place.

I can't tell if the sim is random or not, but certain events at least warrant the question. And yes I have discussed this with The Filth Wizard previously.

First this

Just for the record I didn’t leave the Warriors because I wanted a Premiership or to help another club. Not. At. All. The. Reason.
If people are moving for Premierships good luck to them tho I think most people leave because they want to be refreshed, or something/someone within the club drove them away and made it untenable or unattractive to stay…

Clubs struggling, some very badly for seasons on end, has been part and parcel of this place since I’ve been here 18 seasons and yet none have folded.

Take it to the sim thread, the simmers and Mobbs can run you the steps taken every season to make sure it starts again with a clean slate, that thread is there for those questions.

Anyway yes I was part of one Premiership in 18 seasons and I’ve also been part of the worst season ever sim wise after I joined the Dees, and this one may even top that record again!

Meh. It is what it is.

Fair enough that there's many reasons, but would lack of team success be one of them?

Look I've come to accept the fact that the Warriors will never win a premiership. It is what it is. I'm also allowed to be frustrated by this fact. And maybe there's no fix for our struggles, but it would be nice if those struggles are acknowledged by something other than ridicule.

I can’t speak for others only myself but lack of ‘success’ in an online game has no bearing on who I wanna play for, the Demons could have the next 18 seasons at the bottom of the ladder it won’t make me leave, others might who knows
We lost 4 huge players/stalwarts in quick succession akin to your guys losing TIF, spudmaster, Filthy and Dinsdale. They all left for their own reasons but I don’t think chasing Premierships was on the agenda for any of them, again I’m not speaking for others.

The Bears, Furies and Wonders all haven’t won one going close to 18-19 seasons either. The Bears are stronger than ever and the Furies have rebuilt wonderfully, tho it’s taken time. The Wonders have a very strong core group too and the Warriors are still a force.

It’s much more down to leadership and culture than sim shithousery imo.
