But we've been playing like utter do-do this year and have:
Lost to Richmond = no excuse
Lost by 3 Goals to Hawks = one of the premiership faves
Lost by a kick to Bulldogs = in some great form
Lost by 3 Goals to Pies = premiership fave

Again, whilst playing nothing near our best.

We've started slow but I really feel like thing have turned. We've only won against WC and North, I know, I know. This is more of a gut feel than anything else.

Tomorrow will truly tell, but I really feel like we could surprise a few with our performance tomorrow.

Our side has given me no reason thus far to believe we will "towel up" a team like Geel. We have beaten two utterly putrid teams and a lot of water has gone under the bridge since we beat them by 10 goals last year. Our form is so far from that win it not funny, l want to see some wins against good sides and teams other than WC and Norf before I get my confidence up.

North should have beaten Port last evening - Larkey missed a few sitters...

Geelong’s performance in the first 4 rounds was average having beaten Freo and Melbourne at GMHBA and losing to the Saints and Lions away. The last two weeks they’ve been very good beating the Crows in Adelaide and the Hawks at MCG.

Our first 4 rounds were below average and the last two weeks we’ve improved. I hope the Harry and Charlie combo can fire up today but realistically they might need a couple of weeks to play togethers to click. The other forwards will need to step up and play with the same intensity and pressure as the last two weeks.
