Why not shift Dawson back, Hinge role.

Bring in Pedlar. Rest Draper, personally no issue with this.
Play Taylor/Rankine in middle more. Peatling the distributor, Crouch role.

Then Bond in as well. We need a genuine small stopper against Carlton.

So

Butts in for Murray
Pedlar for Draper
Bond for Hinge
Fog for Crouch.

Im not arguing but the objective is to make finals is it not? the team we just put out on the park which was close to his best 23 got smashed by fremantle. So wtf do we want to do. Bring in kids or senior players? its finals or not. We bring in Edwards and Ryan and Keep Draper, Curtin and Taylor are we giving ourselves the best chance to win against Carlton and achieve that objective. If you want Nicks to rule line through every experienced player you deem not up to scratch we are developing and not playing finals. Its that simple. Take your pick.

Yes.

Take 1 step back to take 2 steps forward.

I care about winning a flag - not playing finals.

That'd actually make sense.

Pull your head in 😝

I would have picked Bond and told Max to unleash the shackles and play as offensive game as possible

He’s a natural defender anyway so wouldn’t get torched too much

Might have helped uncover another offensive weapon and he’s a beautiful kick to forwards

The only factor giving me any relief is that Carlton have recalled Doc.
So hopefully the two cancel each other out & its back to a 50/50 contest.

Picking senior players doesn't help you win or make finals when those senior players are bad.

It’s just stupid by nicks

It’s no good for medium term and no benefit for short term either

Bond with a shuffle , or Ryan or Edwards was easy to go

then we **** off every experienced player and develop. but we did that already and now we are throwing out the just developed. so where do we draw the line on each new shiny toy.
no, we havent done that already. All our youth play in the twos, unless injuries to seniors in the one's force them to be picked. It's been like that for 5 years now.

No. The objective is to win a flag.

He shouldn't be on the list, and he's in.

never said he should be, but he is, so this is the situation we are in. Nicks either proves a master stroke in keeping Smith and Smith comes in and performs like the Smithers of old or he plays like the buckled wheel of last year and he is out. That simple. Either way Smith needs to justify his place on the list.

This idea that where a recruit has played all of his junior footy is irrelevant at AFL level is so ****ing stupid.

Gun midfielder? Forward pocket.

Unless your Curtin - then it's full back 😅

God I hate this loser Club sometimes.

This approach has been going on longer than Nicks. The club has done this for years. It's an ingrained, "don't question us", do-your-time attitude from a by-gone era.

The seniors and leaders at the club act like perennial flag-winning "we know best" champions. They haven't won anything for nearly 30 years.

The objective should be to build a premiership team.

Every season, Nicks gets to about Round 8-10, sh*ts the bed for whatever reason, and then completely changes course. It's happened four years in a row now.
