David's reads were fine, he just didn't seem to have any ability to handle people disagreeing with him. Was very entertaining TV though, would happily see him play again

Season is struggling overall for mine though. Whoever decided we should see non stop Joe, Kyle and Eva every week and about 30s of Star and Kamilla should be fired.

I totally agree. The first part of the episode I forgot that Star was even still there!

Yeah there seems to have been a lot of them.

It was David getting all paranoid about Shaehin that cost him.

I agree with the edit being an issue ignoring some players. I want more Kamilla who I reckon is in this up to her eyeballs.

He did, but I'm staggered that someone could spend a week around Joe, be in an alliance with him, and not realise how proud he is about his integrity. Few people react well when you claim they're a hypocrite about something that matters a lot to them, especially in the short term.

It’s all the edit imo. David was actually pretty spot on about everything and had valid reason to be paranoid about Kyle and Kamilla

Indeed, I wanted him to go because I want Kamilla to win, but David was entirely correct about Kyle and Kamilla, less so about Shauhin though. And he seemed to go off the deep end a little this week by assuming Shauhin had an idol. He was skilled enough to shoehorn Mary into the strong alliance somehow though, that was impressive.

It's weird, I thought from about season 37-46 they had the editing balance down pretty good, compared to seasons before that. I felt as though I knew most people and nobody was being shoved down our throats at every opportunity like they did with Coach and Russell Hantz back in the day. But they've regressed this season, I barely know who Star is, and apparently there was someone named Chrissy who was voted out the week before? Who the heck was she?

Does anyone here watch Survivor on 9Go through Foxtel? I used to be able to record it on my Foxtel IQ box, but lately I haven't been able to record (or pause) on 9Go (I think after a software upgrade), and I need to be logged in to 9now to watch anything on 9Go, which i don't think was the case previously. Wondering if anyone else had this issue? It seems like it now acting more as a streaming channel than a regular TV channel if that makes sense.

Production are clearly struggling for content with all the unfunny anecdotes they are showing.

I said a few weeks back the only thing that could save the season was Kyle and Kamilla.

Disappointed in Kyle.

He may be right about a bitter jury if he burns all the "loyal" people but surely you still have to take a shot.

Winning chances atm would be like Joe 50 / Shaheen 25 / Kyle 25.

See how it ultimately works out for him I guess.

I don't hate the season, but it lacks conflict or any ruthlessness.

Kyle and Kamilla are definitely the hope for this season. Their time to strike is now though as final 7 is the time to bust this up.

I'm hoping that the stuff from Kyle about how Joe is such a great guy (which to be fair, looks legit) is setting it up for the next vote. If Kyle wants to win he has to get rid of Joe and they have to break up the Joe/Eva couple.

I think Kamilla will get him onside next vote. I mean, surely!

I think the Eva autism story has contributed to the stagnant game play. Any other season they would torch the obvious pair Joe/Eva straight away but no one wants to be the bad guy on national tv so they have gotten a bit of a free pass and players like Kyle and Shauhin have adjusted their game around it instead of doing something about it. Doesn't help that most of the people that got left at the bottom post merge (Mitch, Star, Chrissy, Cedrick) are all terrible players.

The David / Joe casting was a good change up for the new era but I feel that will get the blame for the season being poor so they won't do it again.

Is he though? I think the edit makes him seem a lot more likeable but I doubt he has a single friend on the jury and he doesn’t have that many in game. Eva, Kyle and Shauhin is all he has I reckon

Just caught up on the last couple of episodes.

Joe seems like a really nice dude, but it's grating hearing people with 'integrity' speeches so often.

They cast a more traditional mix than the last few seasons, but Eva essentially being gifted two major advantages (Star holy shit - fan of her from an entertainment standpoint but horrible player to give that up) leaves a bit of a bad taste in my mouth, and almost ruining what could have been a far better season.

Next vote will really show how the season plays out. Joe's ability in challenges and Eva's advantages really makes it seems like they'll ride it pretty easily to final 2.

Don't have much faith in Kyle and Kamila to get the job done when it matters. 90% of the time I'm wrong, so hoping for egg on my face.

Just seems like the usual underwhelming play out of a season where passive/shit players get picked off, and the ones in the middle who can make something happen just sit back and don't do anything.

It’s a weird advantage if you’re in a solid alliance.

You could use it if you hear that you’re in the gun, but then it puts the members of your alliance at peril.
