Roast Essendon in no mans land

Port Adelaide have been playing infield a team with an age profile basically the same as Essendon. Fremantle quite a bit younger as well.

Essendon are like Carlton. They can’t go up and they keep pretending they’re not down. No mans land.
This reincarnation is different though. It's actually the younger guys driving the bus now. Zac Reid was close to our best today, Archie Roberts should be one of the leading contenders for the rising star at this early stage, Isaac Kako and Nate Caddy are still finding there feet as first second year players and doing well.

Still a fair way to go, list wise but this is different and the wheel feels like it is actually turning

I think pointing at the older players getting games and saying they shouldn’t is counter productive.

The list is in obvious need of turnover still but you need to create standards and selection pressure and there aren’t that many young guys in the VFL who are undeservedly not getting selected.

You always have to make players earn games. Fix any list issues in the off-season

it’s good that cousin brad found it in his heart to give the bulldogs a pity victory. coaching masterclass, down to the bone

Irrespective of tonights result, they should be in the 8 next Friday night
That's what happens when they have played the bottom 6 teams in the league in 6 of their first 10 games

Footy supporters scratching their heads tonight after that performance. Diabolical.

Not many tipped them to win but believed they’d show fight and put on a good show at bare minimum.

5 wins so far, against teams currently sitting in 12th, 14th, 15th, 17th, 18th

Wins against 12th, 14th, 17th and 18th by 8, 12, 3 and 2 points respectively.

They are shit.

Richmond at over $3 odds for dreamtime are worth a big play if you are that way inclined.

North have shown more in their loss to the dogs, their draw with Brisbane and their loss to the crows than the Bombers have shown in their pumpings by Adelaide and the dogs tonight.

Wouldnt say shit

definitely No mans land

I get the dogs are on the rise and Essendon are pegged to be a middle of the ladder team, but the dogs are really unlucky not to win by 100

Do the defenders just close their eyes kicking it out of the 50 and hope that the midfielders will deal with it?

Did Scott just need a win in the fantasy comp and pick Dale as captain? Was the plan to give him so much free space that eventually he would ping his Hammy with all the room in the world to run and kick it into players leading into space? I dont think You'll ever see a guy get 46 uncontested disposals in a lifetime unless the guys turning it over 30 times

It's a mixture of yeah essendon are kinda average, to Scott having no ****ing idea as well, the score really flattered Essendon, it felt like a 130+ point loss you get once every couple of seasons
