Probably warranted too.Concerned he will drop Nankervis and retain Smith.
Concerned he will drop Nankervis and retain Smith.
He was solid in the first quarter, but became pretty much invisible in the 2nd and 3rd and didn't pick up again until Carlton gave up in the 4th.Probably warranted too.
Nank wasn't great and Smith didn't do much wrong.
Probably close. I think Smith the sub.Out:
Nankervis
In:
Hinge
Sub:
Berry again
I didn’t have Smith in my Round 1 2024 side (let alone 2025) and would never have selected him today.
Having said that, Nank absolutely goes out before Smith for a Showdown after today. Nank is out of form and is an easy drop tbh.
Yep fair callHe was solid in the first quarter, but became pretty much invisible in the 2nd and 3rd and didn't pick up again until Carlton gave up in the 4th.
Test will be how he performs under some real pressure.
Yeah Nank hasn't been in great form, he keeps trying to do too much and then gets himself into trouble. Probably fair enough for him to drop out for Hinge.Nankervis is someone that I'd like to play back into form, but yeah for a must win showdown - it feels that he should probably go at this stage.
Feels like a guy who we've overcoached and he's not playing on instinct anymore. Just looks like he's got 10 things running through his head when he gets it and I don't recall him being so tentative with the ball in hand previous to this year.Yeah Nank hasn't been in great form, he keeps trying to do too much and then gets himself into trouble. Hinge in for Smiithers
Draper in for Berry
Nank sub, and given free reign to run wherever when he comes on. He needs a non structured role for a game or two.
Sub is good for that.
We are definitely going to do that.Concerned he will drop Nankervis and retain Smith.
It’s what happens to our younger playersFeels like a guy who we've overcoached and he's not playing on instinct anymore. Just looks like he's got 10 things running through his head when he gets it and I don't recall him being so tentative with the ball in hand previous to this year.
Could have played a debutant this weekYeah, they'll keep Smith.
Even if we accept that Nank deserves a dropping, I'd rather they drop both him and Smith and play a debutant.
You saw how the players got around him after that goal with 6 seconds to go. Can't drop him after that! - Matthew Nicks probably.Concerned he will drop Nankervis and retain Smith.
