Exactly and they still kicked over 130 today despite those injuries we struggle to kick over 80.

If you halved our injury list our scores would probably rise too. This is also a Bulldogs team that got beaten by Fremantle when their injury list was even less.

You think they would have kicked 130 today of you took out two of their starting midfielders and, I dunno, another random two members of their best 22?

Who would make the biggest difference to the side right now Gulden, Mills and Papley? you dont really include Adams and Amartey/Logan are inconsistent.

I include players who are proven best 22.

Its a loose definition of those players being absolute locks in our 22 aka Adams was available for the entire 2024 finals campaign yet was not considered in our best team

I just dont think everything is down to the players we are missing last week 2nd half was most certainly not.

Player reputations raise dramatically on here when they are on the sidelines

Injury totals matter, if you have 10-12 on the list even if they aren't best 22 it still impacts the side.

Right now let's pick on someone , say we did agree Lloyd is past it or needs a run in the twos. The players to replace him are either hurt, already in the time or just the last players you'd pick on our list.

We are playing out of form players, players carrying niggles and so on , just the quantity of injuries alone matters.

Now I still believe the effort can be a shit load better but we can't pretend our current injury woes aren't impactful.

I want to bring an example of a player with limited talent but a lot of determination. Ben Keyes. This bloke was not wanted by the Lion's. His disposal was very ordinary. Sloppy you could say.

But he is let go and picked up by the Crows. He works hard, develops and hones his skills and now is a very valuable footballer. I'd say his name is permanently on the board. This is a good example for Sheldrick to follow. Keyes was similar to Sheldrick, in that his disposal was terrible. He got plenty of ball but wasted it. Sheldrick is exactly the same. I think he could easily clean up his disposal. My belief is that he continually second guesses and that affects his positioning of the ball , ball drop and leg swing. I have noticed he sometimes kicks with a bent knee. Now that is stupid as the ball could go anywhere if the leg swings in or out.

I hope someone takes him aside. Please Errol, pretty please

I think even with injury we should have won last week. And the week before. We have sleepy time just like toddlers. We simply go to sleep. Our pressure becomes non existent. But it is also in the coaching box. Moves are being made roo slowly. If you are getting flogged in an area, such as the mids, change it. There were opportunities. We had to man up in the mids and didn't they had players free all the time. When Cleary finally went there he made a difference. But too late
