There are teams that just match up well on others. Port have the Hawks, Carlton and the Saints have Geelong, we have Carlton etc.

Certainly seems to be the case vs Carlton ... still weird, but.

Credit to ROB. He seems to play well against the lighter framed mobile rucks in TDK, English where he can physically insert himself, is not impeded for his tap work, and keep up with them aerobically. TDK, English still obviously much more consistent and superior to ROB over a season. It is the similar sized but slightly better skilled ruckman who he struggles against.

Our defence is looking more and more impressive by the week. Max and Woozle are going to be some duo for us over the next decade

Offense clicked today, as well. Dawson being back to his best helped with this a lot, helped by Rankine and Peatling (16 clearances between the three of them)

Taylor and Curtin are building, you can tell they have high footy IQ. On the flip side, Nank’s falling a bit, probably gets dropped for Hinge next week

Can't agree with the Nankervis bit, he was awful today, 8 disposals 1 kick 7 handballs, most of the handballs were him selling himself into trouble with poor decision making hanging on to the ball too long, looked like a rabbit in the spotlight for most of the time he was on the ground, 42 metres gained.

Good: we won by 10 goals Many players performed exceptionally well, including potential best players Dawson, Worrell and Rankine. Curtin, Taylor and Berry , when on did well. Older players like Milera, Smith and Laird did better than expected. Rachele was influential again, and seems to have recovered from his rib problem.
Bad: The protected Cripps getting spared a deliberate, while we had many given against us.
Ugly: when Cripps gets the 3 votes for this game from the umps for the browneye medal.

• Our midfield lifted. Rob, Dawson, Rankine, Peatling, Soligo all much better than previous weeks and dominated.

Its like - I dont know I cant put my finger on it but its like someone took an injury break and I dont know - we got a whole lot better without them

The game was still theoretically in the balance at the time the sub was made. There's a perfectly good West Coast game to rest senior players coming up soon.
