Not that I would normally have a thread on opposition player however there is going to be so much discussion in the next few weeks I think it is worth it. My view the angst is real he was never going to stay with us and contrived a view that it was because he did not get enough midfield time. Now he is still dumping on us I have a very low opinion of this bloke.

He's a complete knob, the hole shaft. 🍆
The Cotton On deal had been in the works for years, every supporter could see that.
Now he is dumping on us.🖕
Toby Greene is still my most hated player in the AFL, but the inst@w***er is moving up to 2nd.

You are within your rights to start a thread on any topic.

However, on this one, this will be my one and only post.

I think it's regrettable that this thread appears on our board, giving oxygen to someone who's already stolen enough and tbh is unworthy of our time.

I just hate how we got reamed on the trade.

Geelong traded in bad faith. Andrew Mackie is a total farkwit with a massive ego.
They knew he was coming yet did nothing to satisfy us that even close to his real world value.

When Geelong supporters go on about him, I just say, 'wow the best pick 20 in the history of the game, former top 10 pick, 23 yo & 100 games, what a bargain'

We already moved on from him on field last year. We replaced him in the midfield with Ed. Smith gets all the attention but Ed already is and will remain the better midfielder. If Smith were still with us he’d be spending his time at wing and half forward behind better midfielders like he always was.

Doesn’t need a thread.

Whilst he's playing good football, he can do and say as he pleases (provided he isn't harming anybody).

It's once he has a form slump that these sorts of things will annoy people he does not want to annoy.

Whether we like it not there was going to be a heap of discussion leading up to the game. Like the Jamarra thread we are better off having in the one thread and not polluting the game day thread.

Leave it for the preview thread for the Geelong game then?
Get it all the dirty cotton on wasking out here so if you don't like, care or know who Bailey Smith is, then you can ignore this thread completely. It's all banter and huge media beat-up because you can't fill 23 hours of TV shows a week without it until the first whistle. Should be a cracking game

I couldn’t care less about Baz, my gripe is with the way Geelong Football Club went about getting him using Cotton on, and the disrespectful way they treated us during trade week and I think this echoes the clubs view.

To my knowledge, he has had some challenges with mental health and reason to be resentful towards the Bulldogs.

However, the club's already moved on from those who 'wronged' him and based on what he's shown so far, he seems to be letting his frustration out in some strange ways (the bird, whacking Jarman Impey, and now the unprompted Dogs drive-by).

Hi. Self inflicted mental health through drug use. Sniffing coke stuffs with your mind and perception of things, which im well sure yourself and others know. So many blame their self inflicted psychosis through their choice to party with drugs on mental health. As if "hey I only used these drugs because I have mental health issues" wow does that card get played a lot and used as an excuse. Sick? Go see a human Dr not Dr Drugs. His erratic behavior may well be a carry over from the drugs. Because it can and often does cause irreversible problems that last a lifetime. Coke the so called party drug isn't as lightweight as many would like others to believe. You can use mind altering drugs for a season then walk away from it, but it doesn't walk away from you.

Bit of a w***er while playing with us and after leaving us. Enjoyed watching him in the 2021 finals.

Didn't like what we got for him during last years trade period.

All the other stuff is just banter/trolling.

Meh...

Its all a bit of fun and makes for a potentially great round 11 game.

When was the last time that the media was talking up a game of ours in anticipation weeks in advance?

The last of never.

Get over him. And acknowledge that though he is and in reality always has been a massive knob. Pantomime boo him if it makes you feel better, but understand that he is an elite level footballer who would've been an essential cog in our midfield over the coming decade if he hadn't decided that he'd outgrown us and our adhering to the archaic practice of following the TPP rules of the game nonsense.

On top of pick 18, Pick 38 wasn't a bad pick, which was then moved for MKennedy.🤘👌

How is Mackie the farkwit? We held onto him when he wanted out, same as Dunkley. Was our List Manager a farkwit when we held firm on Treloar? They do what’s best for club. That’s why Port would be better off trading Butters this year if he’s not committing. They can control the deal. Next year he downgrades slightly
