Hi all,
As most of you would be aware we have been engaged in a committee process to engage a new admin upon my exit of the position and we have seen some extremely impressive applications from two of our esteemed posters in Gralin and Millky95 and I can now reveal with all votes lodged that with a tiebreak vote Gralin has been voted in 7-6 to take the reins as the committee's ambassador/overseer/toy with some parts of this role to take place from today as I ease him into the role across the next couple of months.
Gralin is a poster I noticed early on as buying into what this community stands for, he has expressed his affection and sought responsibility almost since he arrived on the scenes and comes with a website based acumen that is befitting and beneficial to the role he will undertake. I believe he has put his best foot forward and will continue to be a valuable member of the committee, albeit from a slightly different seat.
Of course in such a close race I need to put a spotlight onto Millky95 who has missed out at the last hurdle but needs to be acknowledged for a fair campaign, some great ideas and frankly a really sensational application to the process. I know he will likely be disappointed but I am proud to see longtime posters and peers put their all into a process like this, for something I have often bemoaned as a fairly thankless task, yet one that impacts this league like no other. He should be proud, his teammates should be proud. There has not been an admin chase quite like this in my memory, to have two great applicants and see their applications completely split the league. One committee member has already mentioned they'd loved to have seen a dual role such was the thinness of the split. Millky just missed the finishing line here but there is always a world where his ideas are valuable to the Sweet FA and I hope we continue to hear his voice louder than we did a fortnight or so ago.
Finally congratulations to the committee for a fairly swift and in depth application process and while I know there are some that had issues with the process itself at the end of the day the goal was for 13 club representatives to focus on who would be their own representative and this was done for the majority part with care, thought and very little ego. I was always confident this process would be taken seriously and I am glad we are now at a a stage where we have clarity on the next step for the Sweet FA. Thank you to everybody that spoke up during this process, the more we speak up the stronger we will become.
Cheers,
Filthy
