I think it’s about time the boards sole focus is on winning premierships, before we all die…

Start by supporting Voss and getting some decent staff and recruiters.

Head of Football: Ratten or Longmire

Head Coach: Voss
Mentor (New Role): Roos or Matthews

Senior Assistant: Hinkley, Pyke or Simpson
Assistants: Hickmont, Newman, Power

Head of Development: Lappin or Williams
Development: Whoever they choose

Head of Culture (New Role): Selwood

Head of Recruitment: Wells
Recruiters: Whoever he chooses

They stated at the start of Voss tenure he was good at building culture but lacked in the tactics department. Why would they appoint someone who lacks tactics. It clearly shows he lacks tactics. So we have to change the whole club for a tactically inept coach. The club needs change but Voss needs to go also.

I’m not convinced Voss is the problem.
Give him support and we will flourish

I am convinced Voss is a huge part of the problem but definitely not the whole problem. Nothing has changed from when Teague got sacked until now. There is nothing I have seen that I could honestly say has improved. I wasn't a fan of them appointing Voss way back then and still not a fan. I believe Carlton backed themselves into a corner by saying they wanted an experienced coach and the only 1 left was Voss even though his experience wasn't great at all.

I'm not going to jump on Vossy after one loss. Happy to have 3 wins to end the purgatory for a little bit.

We are bog average side. Players mentally and coaches tactically.

I was probably in the neutral camp at the time, now I think he’s not guy. I do wonder if it might have been different if he changed more of the assistants. I think if we miss finals at the end of the season he’s gone.

A lot has changed since Teague got sacked. If you can’t see that, it’s cause you’re choosing not to see it. Not saying things don’t have to be better, they absolutely do

As a team our performances are still mediocre …inconsistency is right up there…players crumbling under expectations, poor skills, poor game style, players mentally not turning up

Makes you question the clubs culture…

We’ve made a prelim final, made the 8 another time. Our culture amongst the coaches and playing group is much better. I think a lot of this is hyperbole and exaggeration. We are a significantly better team than we were under Teague

We are a better team but not performing like one consistently enough. That hasn’t changed.

We are much better than Teague but it's a very low standard.

Bottom line for me is we aren't close to where we need to be and Voss is just one issue amongst many.

I have doubts about Voss but just changing him or some assistants won't fix much. This is a much bigger issue

Interesting list but too many chiefs imo
Obviously unlikely we'd get many of them anyway so it might work out ok

I'm talking about what the coach is responsible for. I see no difference in the performance of the players, the culture etc. Here we are once again battling for spots at the bottom of the ladder. Still no long term success or sustainability. It's just a mess.

While true, it's a bigger issue, you've got to start somewhere. If not Voss or the assistants, where are you starting Soapy?

Yeah and? I mean, of course we'd have improved! The whole point is, right now we are and have been in a premiership window for the last few years. Yes we made a prelim (thanks to the Dees doing everything in their power to lose the game against us) and last year we fell into 8th spot and got obliterated by the lions.

So the improvement is there but the inconsistency is still around like an anchor around their necks.

If we don't do something fast, this list will be completely wasted and before you know it, another rebuild will begin right when the Tassie team arrives. Meaning another bloody 5-10 years of shocking performances and more wooden spoons.

You do have to start somewhere. Starts with new CEO that is Football focussed and then starts with Football Boss then decisions on Coaches etc need to be made

Just sacking a coach or some assistants would be worst possible move IMO if we don't address entire department

I absolutely agree, this has to be looked at holistically.

Our new CEO will hopefully be getting into that this season with a plan to come this off season one would hope. He'll certainly earn his money if he's to right this ship.

Fell into 8th? When we weren’t out of the 8 all season?
