I feel like I saw Otten's ceiling as a player, it was just short lived. Hentschel on the other hand was basically assassinated by the football gods. It's impossible to know what his ceiling was.Henschell and Otten.
If injury didn't strike when it did I would have loved to have seen what both of those could have become.
Did we? We saw 1 season of Otten and he looked like potentially being elite and becoming a Pendlebury like midfielder. Then it all went downhill.I feel like I saw Otten's ceiling as a player, it was just short lived. Hentschel on the other hand was basically assassinated by the football gods. I never felt that way about Otten tbh but it's possible I was underrating him. I thought Hentschel had more x-factor.Did we? We saw 1 season of Otten and he looked like potentially being elite and becoming a Pendlebury like midfielder. Then it all went downhill.
Nah he made it. 2 time premiership player - and quite handy in the 1998 one in the second half when we came back.Brett James
Brett actually won 2.So did Aaron Keating
Not sure he'd agree with the last sentence TBH.Nah he made it. 2 time premiership player - and quite handy in the 1998 one in the second half when we came back.
Had a decent career and got out as much as he could.
Keating played in one the next weekBrett actually won 2.

i didnt know that about him supporting Collingwood. He was my first footy hero, i had the number 17 on my crows guernsey in 1991. I think if it wasnt for his bung knees and Cornsey he would have made it.Despite my pathological hate for all things Port, Hodges was one player I did like from there. Really wanted him to be a gun for us.
He never really looked at ease playing for us which was regrettable. Probably suffered from the PA vs the Rest stigma?
Ironically, I read that he actually supports Collingwood in the AFL, not the Paer.
