I actual did see a very weirdly informative video the other day telling me what I can and can't do when putting my vote in. So long as it's a number it's allowed, so I will be choosing x, x+1, x+2 etc.

Two types get into politics.
The career politician and the local identity who wants to make a difference in their community.
The local can be either self serving or well intentioned.
The well intentioned local usually gets eaten up and spat out . The guys who would govern we'll go nowhere as they aren't politicians.
Anyone who would be a truly great prime minister/president would never get there or want the job.
