How selecting 5 players as your goal scorers works
​

CHANGES FROM THE LAST COMPETITION:
Only 5 players to select over 5 rounds (was 6)
Replacement player for anyone not playing: Hugh McCluggage (2 players out = 2 x McCluggage).
If McCluggage is also out, unfortunately you miss out scoring in that unlucky scenario.
Edits to your players via your original post: Extended time to Sat May 23rd @ 10.00 am.
I will start entering your players after that deadline.

How often do i need to select the 5 players: Only once
Double up player: You can select a double up player for round 11 only v Giants.
You don't have to do this though. A strategy that may or may not work.
Start of competition: Round 7 Lions v Crows
Who can enter: Lions Big Footy posters only.
Cut off time: 10.00am on Saturday May 23rd
Can i edit already selected players: Yes but must be done in your original post prior to 10am Sat May 23rd
Prize: I can’t award a badge. Some fun to have for 5 rounds with a bit of banter. However, the last 2 winners were awarded a badge courtesy of the mods.
Duration: Runs for 5 rounds (R7-R11). So, you are likely in contention for quite a while.

Winner: The poster with the most goals by their selected players after round 11 v Giants
Tiebreaker: The equal leader with the most behinds scored.
If still no winner: Whoever entered the competition first will be the winner. That could suck for someone but i need a final tiebreaker.
I will enter the posters in order of their post date and time. So, from the beginning you will know who entered before you.

Goals & behind format appearance on word document: Example 3.5 is 3 goals 5 behinds

Selecting your 5 players: Think a bit about the order you select your 5 players in, as once selected you can’t change them after the cut off time being Sat 23rd May @ 10.00am.

Replacement player for any player not playing for any reason: Hugh McCluggage

Sometime before each Wednesday i will mark the players (in bolded) that are eligible to score for each poster the next round. That’s just to make it a bit clearer as to who you have for the upcoming round.

Posters player selection format, example only:

No double up player- Example (A) .....................- (7) Morris (8) Cameron, (9) Allen, (10) Bailey, (11) Lohmann
Use a double up player for round 11 Example (B): (7) Morris, (8) Cameron, (9) Allen (10) Bailey, (11) Morris

Your post: List the players in the above horizontal format (prefer not vertical) will help me in doing a copy/past and record your selections correctly

Just list the surnames (as above). No nicknames. If an Ashcroft, use Will Ashcroft or Levi Ashcroft

How scoring goals works: Example below, using the above player order. Basically, you add a player each round in the order you have decided.
Whoever you select first you get them for 5 rounds, 2nd selection for 3 rounds etc. etc.

R7 Crows:.... Morris
R8 Bombers: Morris + Cameron
R9 Blues:.... Morris + Cameron + Allen
R10 Cats:... Morris + Cameron + Allen + Bailey
R11 Giants:. Morris + Cameron + Allen + Bailey + Lohmann (or a double up like Morris)

Winner declared after the conclusion of R23

I will be doing this manually. Maybe check i have listed your players in the correct order.
Maybe also check that i have given you the correct score each week. Let me know if i missed anything.

Will see how it plays out over the first round

This is very different to a usual goal kicking competition.
You only select one set of players. People should be in contention for a large period of the competition
If you read the "How it works" slowly you should get the idea.
Open for questions after you read the "How it Works"

I doubt anyone will list their players until at least the weekly injury report comes out later today.
I also think many will wait until the squad is announced Thursday and others for the team on Friday
However, my limit is 30 Brisbane Lions Big Footy posters.
