Why is Luca Winton 6 points at Morningside, Leahy and Templeton 6 at Aspley, Simpson 6 at PBC and Wilson 6 at Maroochydore
All these guys received 2 point penalty on top as they moved to club in same league. All except Templeton were 4 pointers due to be QAFL as last league plus 2 goals on top for point penalty. Believe Templeton was 5 pointers due to being classed as VFL player then became 7 with 2 point penalty after moving back to Aspley from Noosa, would be 6 now after losing point due to years of service I’d imagine.

Emphasises what a joke points system really is. Played for Grange in 2023 and has played for 4 clubs in 2 years. So you can leave a QAFL club, play 1 game elsewhere and then play at another QAFL club at only be 4 points

Because they went directly from one QAFL club to another, the rules are pretty simple.

So no loading for 3 clubs in 3 years?

3 clubs in 2 years is the rule, and also specifies SEQ

Not really. the entire point of it is to stop the wealthy clubs who cheat the cap from poaching the best players from the clubs playing by the rules. The salary cap is not really enforced, so the points system is in play.

Eagles left Grange in mid 2023, played in Victoria and then played in Cairns for a full season. He wasn't poached or recruited directly out of Grange, so the penalty does not apply and nor should it.

You cannot just play 1 game elsewhere and get around the rule, you would need to play a full season elsewhere to get around the rules - which is a big sacrifice to reduce your points value.

if any club upset at their players high rating, they can just pretend to get them VFL listed anyway as we have seen.

Besides Simpson to PBC this year from Labrador what other quality player “poaching” direct within QAFL has actually occurred in the past decade?

Big news out of Redlands, Matt hammerman out due to concussion protocol, apparently Tyler Hausfeld and hammer had a biff at training Thursday night and Tyler has sent him into concussion protocols. Noosa by 25+

Is this true, who’s your source??? Always thought Tyler was a bit of a w***er, should’ve seen his late hit against a Sherwood player last week, minimum 3….
