yeah its a difficult one bc he is a #7 draft pick that came to the club in the prime of his career 24-25yrs of age,thats when the bossing begins usually,freaks begin earlier of course but its expected on that length of contract and @that number #7 to win a few matches off ya own back per season for a few seasons at least

im still not deviating from my concrete perspective that the RFC traded out a far superior player than Hopper,more credentialed player than Hopper @ end of 2016 and more than made it work n theres no reason on this earth that RFC cant do similar again.

the absolute minimum taranto n hopper should be doing is winning jack Dyer medals and finishing top 5/6 every season given the length n size of deals they signed at the end of 2022 but given the semantics and balances of the game clearly even that may not be enough to secure what most clubs are striving for n thats a flag,timings a bitch sometimes but they are providing whats required for the RFC this season right at this moment n thats a positive,for them too

Watching the replay now and gee he competes hard, taps the ball to players advantage, and is very clean at ground level too.

Agree. Him and Sims both compete hard, and move well around the ground, too, for big guys. And even when they're not taking marks, they almost always manage to bring the ball to ground. And for them to be competing to this level as 18 year olds? It bodes very well for them going forward, as they build their strength and fitness to compete harder for longer. And throw Armstrong back into that mix. Kudo's to our recruiting team.

It was frustrating to see lynch and Faull both roving front and center at packs. They both competed hard and won a few crucial ground balls, but that’s where Green and Mansell should have been.

We lack a quality small forward. We need to find a Watson type, free kick merchant to take advantage of our competitive talls.

Seth, Brown and Banks have all made great strides this season

Dow has improved

Ross, MRJ and Hugo look to be about par on last year

Few others that we didn’t really see enough of previously to make a call on but looking good are Trezise and Steeley

Still want to see a bank of games from Kmac2 to make a call either way but he’s also only entering his 2nd year so not sure if we will see huge leaps anyway, generally speaking 2nd year players can look a little stagnant or even appear to go backwards
