Just wondering what the record is for the highest positive i50 differential in a losing side. Would be prepared to be we hold most of the top ten slots...

Not sure tbh, but after a quick skim of our records page on AFL Tables, this was an eye-opener.

It almost certainly speaks more to how much the game has evolved, but the raw numbers are pretty emphatic for why we’re all so numb to it these days.

A 63-41 inside50 differential leading to PAFC’s record high score and greatest winning margin (AFL era).

Whereas these days a 62-41 inside50 differential only gets you yet another Showdown defeat to an opposition that can scarcely believe their good fortune that we’ve invested absolutely everything in the myriad bozos running this show.

I do believe that there should be a work life balance and it weighs heavy on players that solely focus on games and their performance

However, as an elite athlete, when you train, you SHOULD endevour to get the best out of yourself and prepare yourself as best as you can to perform on game day. Players would know their deficiencies, so work on them (but don’t let it take over your life). Balance

McEntee was on Worrell (one of the cow best players this year) cm's from him walking around Worrell not letting him run out to be a link player ... the umpire was 15m away watching them both, McEntee had an arm blocking him but not holding him and Worrell was getting very frustrated calling over to the umpire trying to get a free ... it reminded me of the job he did on the Stewart from Geelong...

i would have like to see McEntee on Worrell for a longer time. It reminded me of when he was on Stewart from Geelong and Chris Scott had to move Stewart into center to get Stewart back into the game
Oh dear you’ve just retained McEntee in the side for this weeks game

This is the Hinkley mentality. Try something that works once, and then persist with it until the end of time under the false idea that it'll work again. He's a sunk cost loser and McEnree is not AFL standard.

With the game on the line going into the last quarter, the match winner for the Cows was Izak Rankine.

He kicked two goals and was involved with quick hands for the Fog goal.

After that, we came close and peppered the goals but only Byrne-Jones kicked a sausage roll, the rest of the team kicked points.

This is exactly it. If you told me pre game we'd go +21 i50 and not just that, but an incredible +27 clearances, and +13 contested possession, I would've thought we must've gone all God mode, or we at least won reasonably comfortably.

Crazy we're so poor defensively, and so inefficient in our 13th year of Hinkley's carefully crafted forward structure.
