93 at Hamersley on Saturday, started really well, 9 over after 4; steadied to be 9 over after 8 only to triple the 9th. 46 on the back 9, included a quadruple.
95 at Carramar today, going well 5 over after 7, then the collapse.
Day looked to be saved on the par 5 18th, on in 2, 6 foot putt for eagle, lipped out.
It’s certainly a rollercoaster being a 19ish handicapper.

Finally improvement at peninsula. Much better contact. Actually put a score together and no lost ball. Acutely sorry there was one lost ball. 36 putts comprised of a few one putts and more.

Well first round back after 3 weeks , was as expected. Off the tee i was fine, but my short game was poxy. Chipping and putting was a none event, the greens were quick. It was a round of our club championship, so putts are counted we play four of them, so it was stroke play, i'm off 21.

Shot 89 of the stick which was ok, front 9 44 which included 21 putts , back 9 was 45 with 17 putts .

So take the good with the bad, was better than i expected, but could have been a lot better.

At least there is always next week.

When you putt like i did, it could have been better, which i stated, i would like to be in the low 80's under 80 if i can get there, have only done that twice in my golf life time.

You shoot 80 for a nett 62 in the club champs?

Yep off 18, generally shoot between 90 & 100, have some rare days where i go below 90, and after playing golf for close to 40yrs, i've jagged shooting under 80 twice, so it's highly unlikely i get there, but would like to if i could.

Is there anything more frustrating in golf than wiping a hole due to getting ambition mixed up with reality?

Back where I should be thanks to that overdue lesson. 77 today which included 2 doubles. 32 putts (1 3putt) first birdie with the new putter. Happy CoCo tonight.

Participated in an event at the national. Three courses all played in a single day. It was fun, frustrating and ****ed all at the same time. Probably lost 6-7 balls. Scores in the 30s but nothing special. The game ebs and flows and over 3 rounds the swing is lost and putting feels off. But you soldier on.

My feet hurt.

Up on the Goldie atm.
Weather a bit avg so spent a couple of hours today at TopGolf with the bride.
A bit of fun, but my god the clubs and balls are terrible.
Best I could manage with the driver was 210km ball speed with a carry of 190 mts….bounced it into the rear fence
Was hitting PW 120mts which I was happy with.

Just got back home to Melbourne after playing the old course a couple of weeks ago. A magical and wonderful place. Play off 15 and had an 82 off the stick. I checked my daily and think it would have been 20 so a great day score wise all round.
