Banfield cost us the game last year with his trademark bonehead decision making. Let's see if he can go 2/2?
Doesn't sound like something that someone with a player rating of 87 would do.

**** me, those 3 players are the best we can do.

And people say our depth is good.

What do you expect with our injury list? We've got 22 (23 minus Darcy) from last week, plus 9 players injured who would be in our best 30. When you are down to players 32 and beyond, most teams will struggle to list anybody of note.

I recommend going to footywire, then sorting the player list by games and count up from the bottom until you find anyone decent. Maybe include/exclude the odd player on a different basis than games played. You are generally going to get around 12-14 currently useless players at good clubs. Aish and Banfield are not really that bad as players to be naming as our 32nd or 33rd best option.

Brisbane are turning to guys like Tunstill and McClachlan with a much shorter injury list than Freo, and those Brisbane guys aren't any better than Aish.

The problem is primarily the coaching, and secondly the injuries. It's not the depth/list.

I think our depth is the worst it has been in 5 years. Aish falling off a cliff, Brodie turning into a spud, Fyfe and Walters aging very poorly/ always injured. Reidy not developing like we hoped.

I have 8 players I would delist. (I would like to keep Erasmus, but I doubt he would stay if we don't play him)

I really think the club should take at least one MSD pick this year.

Please tell me we aren't going to play Reidy and he's just insurance?

He is the solution to our forward line entry problems. Just sit 15m out from goal, and bomb the ball on his head.

Very simple. If we can do this 70 plus times, JL is confident we will kick 5 or 6 goals.

Actually don’t mind that. Banfield as sub is versatile.
😊 I think banners is a sub that can impact, either as a utility to cover injuries or steal a few goals.

Always thought that the longer a game goes on, is where he seems to thrive. He isn't the strongest or fastest, but he has the work rate to grind when others are out on their feet and also their strengths are diminished

Aish and Banfield
No McDonald.
Going small
Jackson ruck and 3 talls up forward with Voss to pinch hit. It's more like a normal composition. we were too tall last week.

Playing yet another tall against the Orange Tsunami would be disastrous. We're going to need Switta to actually stick some tackles this week.

Amazing how he gets another week.

He can adapt to any position too.
Better than Erasmus sub or Dudley. There are types of players that just can’t be subs, need a full game to have influence

Jackson would get smacked around by Kieran Briggs so we need Riedy just to be a big log against Briggs essentially. Switta stays in the side so we have one more player over 20 years of age. Hope Raz plays a full game. Deadly did last week so hope he does again, too.
