Don't know whether anyone earlier picked up that TDK is in doubt tomorrow night
Good….i have a good source that says he has done the deal w saints…might be out a few more times this season if that’s the case looking after his 1.7 for next season…

How did Snell go in the Resies last week?
I doubt he is banging th door down, but it is the energy and playing at the higher level in a preferred position that might do the trick. I am giving up on judging VFL form in our current situation, I am keen to see how players go when elevated and take a line there. It is more about dropping non performances in the seniors who seem to be plateauing at best and simply not looking like it at all yet consistently getting pick. We are reaping what we sew at the moment.

He'll get plenty of Sherrin - thats almost a given.

The knock has been on his kicking - which admittedly was pretty shonky early on this year. But as you point out, its been improved in recent weeks.

The other primary benefit I see - he's a goal kicker. At least one in each of the last 4 games. Particularly from forward 50 stoppage, he has the happy knack of being able to snaffle the pill and get a shot at/on (not sure which to use - bedford ?) goal. With our scoring problems, thats more than handy.

Anyway, team selection isn't far away now. I reckon he'll be named on the 5-man bench, so the jury will remain out on whether or not Cox should be sacked immediately.
Yep if he could provide 20 touches a goal and 3-4 tackles a game at 70% DE I'd reckon that would be a huge win especially given he would have a high CP%

Hope Coxy does the smart thing and puts Florent sub

GUSSSSY ON FIELDDDD please Coxy

I don’t even expect one of them to be dropped that’s how soft our coach is. He talked all pre season about players earning games yeah haven’t seen it all season long and I don’t buy the injury cop out everyone gives him. Didn’t stop Sam Mitchell dropping Jack Ginnavan to find form
Who is going to replace them? You lot asking for everyone to get dropped is just ridiculous. If you lot had your way there wouldn't be a team. I mean these are the players who are down on form;

Heeney
Lioyd
Macca
McLean
Jordan
Cleary
Campbell

Will came back into some form last week. Heeney got less disposals than Lloyd. Jordan about half lloyd and Florent. Florent got 2 less than Heeney on a wing. Why not ask for Jordan, 9 disposals, McLean, 7 to be dropped? How about Heens, about half his normal load?

These players are always light on;
Francis, 8
Cor Warner, 11
Macca 15
Hamling 6
Cleary 10

Lloyd had 22
Florent 17

So neither was worse than that lot. Lloyd was better than Heens.

Now, who comes in for all these under-performers?

Ladhams? A Chance
Snell? Not sure he has had enough Reserves yet
Green? Not ready
Adams 14 disposals, not ready
Mitchell, couldn't get a kick in an electricity generator, 11 D
Buller 15, 1.1, 3 tackles
Hanily 7, 0 g, he got 3 in the last game. On last week NO!
Kirk was the best of them, with 24, 3 tackles, 5 clearances.

Our reserves kicked 42 points last week from 17 scoring shots. A disgrace. Not many of the listed players are on the park but those that are, are under-performing. If they can't make a good go of it in the reserves, they should not be in the seniors.

Hamling must go. Last week was not just poor, although any forward would have found the way we bombed in more then difficult, he just wasn't good enough. Maybe back.

Francis tried hard. He wasn't the worst but he was up against a rock and a hard place. Never going to succeed with that sort of delivery. But he absolutely murdered the ball in kicking for goal.

So, tell me who comes in? If we dropped every under-performer then it would look like this and neither Ollie nor Lloyd would be in the mix;

Francis
Hamling
Cor Warner
Macca
Cleary
McLean
Jordan

Replacements;
Kirk
Ladhams
Snell
Buller
Adams

But no more. We simply don't have the cattle.

Coming back;
Mills
Amartey

If we are lucky. Both would be managed.

Once we get past the lot that are in the team the depth is not just thin, it is non-existent. I don't know if Indi is good enough, he gets plenty at Reserves level but AFL? Who knows.

McLean is stiff.. better off keeping him in, shifting Francis back and dropping Hamling.

At least McLean is good for at least a goal a game.. Hamling does f all wherever he is.

I don’t think people want all those players dropped….certainly not at once so it’s a little disingenuous your take. Drop Lloyd, that’s what I want, Put the sub shirt on Florent.

Lloyd has not earnt a start in any performance this year. He is not best 22 and somehow remains l
