I gave my opinion earlier. I would make a statement to senior players due to our poor start to the season. Banners for Switta or Freddie and Draper for Cox. McDonald replaces Darcy.

Did you watch Peel on the weekend?

It's not that our depth is bad, it's that all our depth is literally all in the team now.

Voss, Ras, Simpson, Worner, Reid (yes, him too), Dudley, Wagner, Banfield are all those players who would be in the Depth range.

JOM, Sturt, Darcy, NOD, Fyfe, Walters, Narkle, Walker, Young are on our injury list right now. If fit I'd wager all of them are in the b22 with Narkle the only one who's pure depth.

There's no one to come in for poort performing players beacause they're all in the team already out of necessity.

Opinions and arseholes and all that but apart from those outs I doubt those other players are doing much for us

Those 3 are pretty important no doubt

I prefer potential under the b23 more than depth but that’s just me though

How much dead wood each club is carrying on their list would be an interesting article

Banners is in, Draper was terrible in his last few games for Freo and was not good for Peel. I dont understand how 4 tall forwards is going to work unless you were playing Jackson ruck/mid? There is a reason not a single team in the AFL does this.

We are definitely not doing bad on the top end players, most are playing. It is a fair whack of player in the 22 to 30 range though.

To me, there was a heavy implication that those who disagreed with your view were unhinged. I'll give you the benefit of doubt.

Fair point on Draper - I think Draper plays better on bigger opponents. I'd like to give him a run of games in place of Cox. In my view, we lack run from defense with Cox, Draper and Pearce in the team.

And also fair point on the forward line being too tall. I liked McDonald against Adelaide, and would like to see him get another crack. I'd argue that we're more agile with McDonald in for Darcy, with greater flexibility to allow Voss and McDonald rotate with Jackson. But we'll see. I'd obviously love to be proven completely wrong on Saturday.

If you actually read the discussion its clearly 8 or 9 of our best 22-30. I.e including a lot of depth. You want to argue with that go ahead but when we were sitting 3rd at round 20 last year most of those guys were playing, and most of our depth was over there winning a flag for Peel.
