Can some one tell me at what point do you do something about a bloke that has had 49 touches and 1k metres gained?
Seriously an inept coach shown through his inept players.

46 uncontested too. That's ****ing damning on Scott for his gameplan and the players for their complete lack of accountability.

Reckon most of them will look at themselves in the mirror with disgust after that. Very uncharacteristic of how we've turned up and the effort we've shown in the last 6 weeks.

Bad games are to be expected due to the overall inexperience of the side but effort is a non-negotiable and a lot of our leaders, particularly Langford, Merrett, didn't help the matter whatsoever. Just seemed like we let our bundle down after the way we started.

Personally I'm a little less pressed by a loss like this than I'd have been in the past mainly because I recognize where we're trying to get to and what comes with the territory. Need to make sure it doesn't become a reccuring theme however.

Shiel isn't good as a sub. Has had some good games in the middle though. Might have thought we had learned this lesson already.
Laverde didn't do a lot wrong, but he's not really the direction we are heading.
Perkins is a witch's hat. His bursts can get us a few goals, but he goes unsighted for large chunks of the game.

I guess it's a good reality check for where the rebuild is at. Not finished.

mate what are you talking about? Wtf effort are you talking about over the last 6 weeks?

We barely beat North and West coast for gods sake.......

this kind of loss was coming as soon as we fronted a good team. This is dead set a repeat of last year.

This is completely characteristic of this club.

You could argue that scott should have had someone on him from the start of the game, but when your down by 7 goals at qtr time you can’t tag your way back into it.

I didn’t see many posters saying dale was the man to stop either.

Too much left to too few. On the bright side Roberts and Caddy showed heart and Reid was solid again.

The rest were the definition of ordinary. Felt like we lacked physical intent for the start with Merrett, Durham and Caldwell poor (worst game I've seen Caldwell play for the club). Perkins is a big worry and 2MP same. Just not enough fight from these players who should be standing up in games like this. Hobbs and Setterfield battle away but are just honest toilers at best and McGrath and Laverde the same.

All in all Blue collar ability without Blue collar work ethic is going to see you hammered by class sides.

At what stage does anyone in that coaches box with half a brain in their collective arses think it might be an idea to task someone to keep Bailey Dale accountable?? Allowing 50 disposals to a HB is just disgusting & apathetic coaching.

He then subs off SEH who was one of a few blokes who could actually put the ball to advsntage by foot to our fwds?!? Insanity!!

Brad’s had the keys for nearly 2.5 years & we’re no better off than Rutten or Worsfold before him.

You're right, we should go full Mark Neeld and drop anyone older than a Leo DiCaprio girlfriend.
what did he actually bring to the side tonight though? he’s not quick, he’s not a deep, penetrating kick, he’s an okay marker (but wasn’t setting the world on fire tonight).

As I said earlier, he should’ve tasked El Hawli with the job on Dale. A perfect opportunity to educate him and not humiliate him at half time. Perkins subbed out as a lesson to him also.

Scott's been good all year but had a stinker tonight.

.

Been good all year?? Really? We’ve beaten the junk underneath us by the slimmest of margins & finally got sorted by a good unit tonight of which he had no answer for.

Let’s see how good he goes over the next 2 months…

There will be crickets in the MVP thread this week if it even appears. Only the masochists watched enough to deliberate.
robert’s martin duursma wright are the only players who come to mind

when will someone not named Zac MErret go * this and do something for the team and not themselves.

Kyle Langford should be doing this. Dylan Shiel could be doing this.

Who would want to do anything for this rabble? Play for yourself and try and get out of this hellhole.

Mate what are you on about. Most would've had us smashed by the Hawks and losing to Port, Melb and Sydney going into the season with the list we had.

And coming away with the 4 points against the Eagles and North (who were older than us at the time of playing them) is still better than losing to them like some have.

It's only cos we've notched those wins that your expectation and thus bar has risen as such. Get reaaaaaaal mate.
