Wardlaw fairly quiet and his disposal is pretty erratic.
Thought Pink battled manfully on Lynch, especially given the umpire assistance Lynch was getting.
First quarter good, rest pretty poor and generally disappointing.
Scott, Corr absolutely horrific. Duursma nothing.

It's the whole point though, the reigning premiers hated being in 9 degree Hobart, tried to play pretty, low effort football- we have a sniff and we actually look good, Richmond at their lowest ebb since the mid 2000s show the slightest bit of fight and we melt like a chocolate fireguard. If we were absolutely hopeless across the board you wouldn't see this.

I can't answer that question, even though it's plagued me for **** knows how long. All I know is that we need to take what we can get with the handicap we have.

Richmond showed fight against three other teams this year and the other teams couldn't match it. Only one of those three was on their tier. We have the right to accept this win, I'm not going to say happily, but at least without putting an overtly negative slant on it

137 stoppages today. Richmond got their pressure rating to 275 in the second quarter and they still only got 4 goals which was their best quarter for the match.. not that high for our standards.
People should show more respect to Richmond they’ve won 3 games this year and desperately wanted another today.
To actually win a close one for us which WAS a really hard contested game is great after a month of close games where we couldn’t bring it home.

We won but it is hard not to be a little disappointed considering how we played in the first quarter. We won the Q1, lost Q2, drew Q3 and lost Q4, so overall Richmond probably had the better of the game, other than the first quarter when they were totally blown away.

I am absolutely ecstatic! What a cracking win! A lot of it is relief but winning ugly is still winning! The first win back was never going to be pretty. It was going to be scrappy! Some clear positives, though. Kerch showed a noticeable lift in intent, and Duurz wasn’t far behind. Looks like they both got a rev-up during the week and responded well. Ten tackles from Kerch is massive—great to see.


Larkey’s work rate arguing with the umps could singlehandedly power a wind farm.


LDU gave up on multiple chases—poisonous stuff, really disappointing to see.
