Haven’t read much other fan reaction to this game, but would guess a lot would be disappointed as I was. But that was a really good game of footy. Thought both teams cracked in. Watching Xerri and Nank battle it out was awesome.

Once match fit I think he's better than both K-Mac and Hugo on the wing but teams often run 3 wings anyway and you could drop him back to half back or up to half forward.

HBF/wing - Banks, Brown, Juddy, Hugo, Hotton, Trainor
HF - Hotton, Seth, Mansel, Alger, Lalor
Mids - Lalor, Kane, Smillie
Rucks - but I think you know how I feel about spending top 5 picks on one

If we get anything out of Green and Smith that’s a bonus.

Just realised Dreamtime has moved to Friday night, which means five day break. I wonder if/how that affects team selection?

At this stage I'm probably thinking Gray and Short in for Balta and Smith, with Trainor as sub, but we could also go smaller down back against the Bombers.

I thought Lalor was about to rip open the game after his second goal. He busted through a tackle a few minutes after which led to Campbell’s snap.

I want to see him one out in the square Dusty style. How many free kicks has he drawn flying for marks? Once he clunks one in front of goal they will start shitting themselves.

Watching the game I have the sneaky suspicion Hopper might be carrying a bit of a niggle. He was still finding the ball okay but did seem to have lost a little bit of his dynamic movement (which was already not the strongest suit for him)

After that first QTR I thought we might have gotten pasted like some of the other teams in this round.
