I have alot of mates that support Carlton and its been great fun the last 8 years
They no longer invite me over to watch Carlton v Richmond games and say they no longer follow Carlton like they used to
Until Carlton win a game

Marshall needs to play 80% up forward. It will lengthen his career and basically give the forward line the support they need. St Kildas forward line is just terrible at present. They have no one leading out from CHF to provide a target which Marshall can do

Not super fussed if we lost Marshall and got TDK. Marshall has two years on a contract so we'd get something decent in return, and TDK is a free hit.

I just don't think paying a ruck that much is worth it, but each to their own as Ross Lyon said.

Well yes but again, which free agent midfielder are we signing? There aren't any.

Any compo we got for Marshall could be used for a midfielder or bundled with our (likely top 5-6) pick this year to get a top mid in the draft. Wouldn't be the worst outcome for us?

Good on Tom for earning that crazy amount of coin, but its horrific list management by the Saints by making a ruckmen that has never been All Australian and never finished top 5 in his clubs BNF the highest paid player in the comp.. You must wonder what that does to team harmony, especially if Tom has a form slump mid contract.. The other thing is that Tom is not even that young, he is 26 in July, and if rumours of the 7 year deal are true they will be still paying him huge coin when he is 33.
