Rarely win a game where the free kick count is 26-12 and your opponent kicks 20.7.

But we didn’t help ourselves with goalkicking and turnovers in the slightest.

Flat is an understatement.

we are just poor in close games.

Dale, Libba poor kicks out of defense under no pressure.
i said it against the suns, playing like theres 30 seconds left when theres 8 minutes left. bont trying to do too much.

Cameron's class got them over the line. not only the goals, his delivery inside 50 was sublime

Brad Scott has a meeting with the AFL, and Essendon end up with six 50m penalties in their win against the Swans that week.

Chris Scott has a meeting with the AFL, and Geelong get a 26-12 free kick count including countless unpaid holds that week.

Bevo needs to make some reservations next time we have a big match coming up I reckon

They're the most frustrating games, where the team doesn't play well but fights back just to blow it when the games there for the taking.

Jones getting back fit and in form is nearly as important as Darcy being back, O'Donnell just consistently gets goals kicked on him.

The match was lost in Q2, can’t concede 6 unanswered goals and expect to win. Some absolutely horrendous turnovers and fumbles across the match as well. Geelong's pressure really rattled us, especially in Q2, we had no answers and it's a bit of worry considering it's a template on how to play against us.

Nevertheless we fought well to get back into it and we had enough chances to win it and finished with 3 more shots at goal.

The first 10 minutes of the last we absolutely dominated and could only manage 1 goal. We needed at least another 2 in that time frame.

Can’t be blaming umpires when we had more shots at goal, conceded 6 unanswered goals and 70 points from turnovers. Geelong were unbelievably accurate in front of goal as well, over 20% ahead of the competition average

Geelong
29 shots, 20 goals, 5 kicked behinds, 4 no scores, 69% accuracy

Western Bulldogs
32 shots, 16 goals, 15 kicked behinds, 1 no score, 50% accuracy

xScore / Actual Score
GE: 127 / 106 (+21)
WB: 113 / 120 (-7)

*2 rushed behinds to Geelong, 2 rushed behinds to Western Bulldogs
Another game won on expected score. Great.

Crap umpiring
Crap ground which we always are drawn to play at
Crap kicking for goal
crap quarter the 2nd

Should have could have won but didn’t that the bottom line

We need to be winning these games the loses Pies Cats Lions Gold Coast is becoming a concerning trend against the better sides

We need to start winning these games

Have a break over the bye and hit the Hawks and beyond and get some troops back

We got our preparation wrong, and as much as I love Bevo, this one's on him.

We weren’t aggressive enough. The plan to avoid antagonising Smith backfired badly. He slammed Kennedy’s head into the ground and we did nothing. It was weak.

Plenty of our boys would’ve had built up frustration towards Baz. Telling them not to be physical when emotions are running high was a poor call. Geelong came in harder, won the 50/50s, and set the tone.

By the last quarter, Bevo looked the most fired up I’ve seen him. He’d figured it out too late. We shied away from the moment, and it showed with how fumbley first QTR.
Save it for finals.

I kept hearing this week that tonight was a "must win game". That's BS.

A round 11 game is not a must win game. Finals are.

A co-worker of mine used to always say, it's not who you know it's who you bl**.

51 points from turnover conceded in the first half.

Butchered multi shots throughout the night.

Missed kicks going inside 50 at key moments.

Umpiring was disgraceful.

We still have weak cogs in our team that hurt us in big games.

Pissed off but this is what this team, coach and club has given us since 2016, reality check every time we think we are a top four team
We are way off it. We haven't beaten anyone of note.

I don’t think we need to be too harsh on any of the boys based off one game.

The performance was awful from some, but McNeil and Cleary have been some of most improved players this season.

Bad individual games happen, we really need to respond against Hawthorn after the bye.

The fight in this team is really really good. Turnovers in the first half were diabolical. Tough to make inroads down there.

About 7-8 key moments that cost goals.

Naughton miss, Buku miss, Harmes diabolical turnover, libba free kick, English free and 50. Richards miss kick inside forward 50. Most of these guys had good moments though.

Repeat errors from Cleary and McNeil shots at goal really stings.

4 posters and yes the umpires did us no favours tonight.

Our bottom 4 hurt us very very badly tonight.

Pardon the intrusion, Bulldogs are my second team so hope you don't mind my venting. I'm a 'neutral' but I feel I barrack almost as hard for Dogs games these days as Eagles. Just seems everything went against them today, from misses (including like 5 posters), umpiring, little unlucky things. You could have easily won.

Still think you're the equal best in it in atm with Collingwood, unbelievable you're 6 and and 5, should be 8 and 3, but oh well, had a tough draw, top 4 still well within reach if they keep it up. Good luck.
