OMg yes, yes this.

We have Darcy back in a month, if we play Geelong again, it won’t be in their sand pit, it will be in the big boy league.

We are still in the eight with a lot of easy kills.

Top four here we come !!!

Why are we still relying on this!!! M

Other teams just win. It’s ****ing atrocious that we need to do this every ****ing year.

Williamson gave 6 to Geelong tonight and 5 to us. Gianfagna on the other hand gave Geelong 6 and 0 to us. Either way though, unless we go through every decision one by one, it's pointless pointing fingers at individual umpires.

*I was recording these by eye live, so it might be off by a couple.
What did I tell you!!!!

Aside from Hawthorn and Brisbane, we should go into every game after the bye as strong favourites.

Every chance we play like we are and we only drop one or maybe two we end up 15-8 or 16-7. That's a top 4 finish.

We'll lose some of those games we are favourites in - that's how probability works. Being favourites is not a guaranteed win. It just means we are likely to win most of those games.

Simply put some ****ing teams have influence outside the game to get a ****ing win.

Serious question...

How do you folks who've seen this again & again stay so positive?

The poor finishing.

The constant cycle of media hype, lose a big game, miss top 4. Again.

Sitting mid table & dropping out?

We're staying relevant but we've still lost to the Lions, Pies, Suns & Cats.
Lol. I said words to this effect in the game day thread. I've been a long time dogs supporter so I knew a disheartening performance was coming.

The loss wasn't on any one player.

But McNeil should not be selected in high pressure games. His lack of skills + class is extremely costly. He is what he is, and we don't have much depth in that area. But should be realistic about where he's at. Don't know how many more times we need to see it.

I think AJ is better, and we'd see that if he was afforded a similar run of games, but unfortunately injured. Leaves Dolan really as the only option - But I think there's an argument for that switch to happen. We've pumped games into worse players.

Toughen up princess, we are one if the most disadvantaged teams, every one plays at Mavel, no advantage there. Mars is our only advantage and as tonight the umpiring favours the home team,is never in our favour, that’s why we stick fat.

Here is where we see how much we've changed, how serious we really are. If we're serious we don't lose those games.

Come on. Are we seriously saying this?

I like a good old conspiracy theory thread as much as the next guy, but tonight was just home field umpiring - which doesn’t have any impact if the bulldogs players just kick vaguely straight and don’t shit themselves.

McNeil cost us the game imo.

Not just him, but he streams into goals uncontested twice in succession when there’s less than a kick in it and butchers it.

So they all cost us the game. But it was a winnable game and the players once again ****ed it up,

Tonight is where you see how much we've changed.

We're a solid team, but we haven't changed enough when it matters...

V the top teams.

You have 4 games this year as evidence of that already.

Obviously the Hawks is now a must win clash. But does anyone now how many games we can possibly drop and squeeze into the 4th seed?

I love the way this team goes about it. But I'm also not going to deny what our history and form says. We need the double chance with such a young core through the middle.
Sitting on squiggles for the last hour screwing around.

If we just win our remainders at Marvel for the rest of the season we can still easily finish top 4, if we pinch a SCG / Gabba game we can slide as high as 2 going on current tipping trends.

Yep, the friends in high places that talked down Smith last year still working hard for their team as they do year in year out.

The media boxes also full of the Geelong nuffies.

It's one big protection racket.

Can’t believe you are blaming McNeil, when Truc did a bad hand past, Ed kicked it past Buku etc. this game loss was made up of moments.

Outs: McNeill, Cleary, Duryea

Ins: Dolan, Coffield, Poulter

I am no fan of Coffield or Poulter but they couldn't be any worse.

Oh to have Darcy and Treloar ready....
Why Dolan out of curiosity? Don't get me wrong, I love him, rate him, and think he can be something in the future.

The role of the small forward is not just to create pressure, but impact the score board. He has only managed to get like 3 shots at goal all season across nine games at AFL and VFL level. And only had one goal assist in 7 games with us, despite the top ball use when kicking forward. I'm actually baffled at his lack of shots being a forward tbh.

His disposal numbers can be factored in his small build, and getting used to AFL positioning and running patterns.

heck the doggies fan next to me was a deadset embarrassment. Sooked the entire the game.

Getting level after that disastrous sending quarter and not getting the job done hurts.
