A bit juvenile mate.

Scandinavia IS totally awesome.
Does that mean it is perfect? No. Does that mean it is beyond criticism? No.
Not to mention Sweden and Norway are two different countries.

Why?
  • Funding by the mining lobby
  • Policy by the IPA
  • Membership from the cookers
  • Ground game by the Church of the Brethren
That is a formidable combination man
The problem, though, is that they have needed to pull a rabbit out of a hat in each election since 2013. Turnbull in knifing Abbott and promising a middle Australia focused set of positions - even if the details were sparse on what those positions were - and Morrison stabbing Turnbull in the back and finding an extremely narrow path to victory by just below 30000 votes country wide against a leader who the media insisted was deeply unliked.

They've been bereft of talent for the entire last decade, and it took some all time shooting oneself in the foot by the Rudd-Gillard era to make Australia gunshy about electing Labor. Now, Labor's not out of government and the world clearly won't end if they retain power (which was how things felt in 2019); the Libs quite honestly need a raft of retirings and new blood. New blood needs time to build a profile and to try and pinch a seat off an established member, and they've got work to do if these shiny new candidates cannot be completely open and honest with the Australian people.

And that new blood aren't going to be leaders immediately.

What we're seeing is a party and cohort completely bereft of leadership and as a group, rather stale. Dutton wasn't a leader's arseh*le, and nor was Morrison. Ley and O'brien (who's that?) aren't either. There's not even many deputies in there worth looking at.

The problem with being exceptionally good at pulling rabbits out of the hat is that eventually, you run out of rabbits.

interesting piece in the saturday paper about the hold the mad monk and his failed chief of staff still have over the reactionaries. and the mad monk has some clout bc the right-wing political inciter, lachlan, appointed the mad monk to the fox board. and now resides back in oz so he can push the libs to trump levels.

and to top off how out-of-touch the mad monk is, he hosted a dinner for liz truss - it took 49 days for the poms to realise what dead weight she was. of course, the liberal party media cheer squad were apparently there - sky news ceo and editor-in-chief of the australian (news ha!). along with credlin and hubby loughnane. and no punch without little johhny. you couldn’t make this stuff up.

a liberal told the author, jason koutsoukis:

These people are like a cancer in the Liberal Party. They’re not arguing for desperately needed medicine; they’re arguing for more carcinogenic policies. And if they have their own way, they will kill the Liberal Party for good.”

“Abbott, his Sky News after dark cronies and those few people left in the parliamentary party who still listen to him, are so tone-deaf that they are trying to pretend the weaknesses that made the Coalition unelectable are actually strengths”

Why the hell shouldn't they be PART of the viability assessment?

If you build a house, do you only care if you can afford the materials and labour, but don't give a damn if the whole thing is a fire trap and prone to collapse in the first strong gust of wind?
Why Can't I make my house out of Solid Gold :(

History will not be kind to this misguided idiot.

There's so many things you could dissect in that video but the one that got me the most was Credlin having a cry about the smear campaign against Dutton by Labor attacking his character. Firstly because Dutton was doing exactly the same thing against Albanese (weak, limp wristed etc) and secondly because it was said without even the slightest hint of irony despite Credlin running a far worse smear campaign for years against Daniel Andrews. These people clearly live in houses with no mirrors.

pretty sure watt was the senator who caused henderson to have a tearful chamber meltdown over a moira deeming

they appear to be on talking terms now going by that video .... which suggests her outrage was nothing more then a confected performance

Henderson is a pretty nasty piece of work and a good reason as to why she sits in the Senate and not the House of Representatives anymore

lets do the same thing for cannabis

Only if it's treated the same way tobacco is (heavily taxed with plain packaging).

We had an issue with tobacco decades ago; the last thing we need is an issue with marijuana. Especially since marijuana is an appetite stimulant, and we already have an obesity problem.

EDIT: I do support its decriminalisation to undermine the criminal element, though. The above refers to legalising and selling the stuff.

Well the alternative is doing the policy work.
These silver spooners don’t work for a living, so lazy culture wars is all they’ve got

Crisafulli's biggest challenge will be surpressing the Newman-era elements within his party, especially that twat Bleijie.

If he can't do that, and there's no apparent progress on youth crime, his majority will be in jeopardy come 2028.

This is pure gold….

“Why are you going to get your teeth kick in Hawke?” Credlin LMFAO…

“Bowen is Toxic in hunter” Barnaby 🤣

these people are so ****ing delelu crazies
baanaby thinking only of new england, well its our taxes and urban areas that subsidize your ****ing gravy train in new england that you pocket, and new england voters don't see a cent of benefit but you lie to them and so they don't know how not to vote national

and bowen may well be toxic in new england, well baanaby would be lynched in any urban area of melbourne after his "we can smell the bodies burning" comment
edit "10 years of deficit" would that be 10 years of ****ing coalition deficit would that be?

edit 2 hey delulu fools, the problem is inherently liberal policies have no credibility and so therefore your numbers start off not being believed it makes any attack ad so easy because no one wants to believe what LNP were trying to sell.

edit 2 "character assassination" hey ****knuckles, who was it that started ditch the witch? or the polka dotting of Kirner?
