2026 top 3 may all be allocated to clubs lol its become a farce. May as well have zones and we will happily take Harley from our Bendigo zone.
Calling Armstrong top 3 early?

We need Raso…MRJ ain’t it sadly

No no let's just keep playing Steely Green as a small forward. Why would we want to take Raso on a free 6 month trial?

Let some other team have him. We're all good here.

We don't have a pick, so it's out of our control.
Pretty sure if we really wanted one we would make it happen. Just like we have in previous years. Ultimately the club would have the best insight into if Raso is worth it or not but good small forwards are tough to find.

If Raso succeeds there's no way we can have the same blokes moan "oh sure that's easy to say in hindsight".

Well you explain how we make it happen. The club will not force Prestia into retirement, so tell me how we make this happen? We cannot force a player onto the LTI or into retirement.

What just like we did with Davidson last year!!! Hartley ain’t that good. Passes on guns and picks kids with significant soft tissue injury concerns

the draft is so compromised we may as well get rid of it. clubs will instead have to go around the country scouring for talent like they used to, the good old days. it seems like everytime the afl meddle with the game they make it worse.

The more I see of Duursma the more I see similarities to the Bont in terms of the way both looked coming out of the U18s. Similar movement around the ground/contest as well as ball use. Not suggesting he'll become as good as Bont, but having a big bodied midfielder who can move through traffic with ease and can use the ball quite well will certainly be fun to watch especially if we get all of Lalor Smillie & McAuliffe going through the middle as well.

The big difference is Bont is one of the classiest ball users and best by foot in the last decade. That's what makes him special.

So far Duursma is struggling to hit simple targets. Give him a shot for goal straight in front and it's more likely to go out on the full. In his last game, he missed a simple handball to a teammate 5m away under little pressure that made the crowd stunned. I'm more surprised when he hits the target than not. His poor skills and decision making can't be ignored.

Sharp turned in a quality display of inside midfield craft in this one as the NSW mids weren't able to stop him getting to the drop of the ball and extracting it to his team's advantage. His hands were super slick and clean in tight with a couple of 'bink and you miss it' moments. As always Sharp didn't shirk his defensive responsibilities, locking down on opposition mids when required a number of strong tackles. His numbers likely would have been even higher but for a shift into defense in the 4th quarter with SA well in control.

Just gonna ignore Kellaway handing him 1/2 his possessions? 🤣🤣🤣

If you're nice to me you might even get a Kellaway video!
Calcium Man will suck you off for a Callum Smith one

I'll be honest, wouldn't be my first choice but sometimes in life you have to take what you can get.

Yeah I wouldn’t be my first choice either, been a long time since my uni experimental phase, so not very practiced ;)

with kellaway, armstrong & walker (Michaels confirmed) all coming through in the next 2 years, as well as reid (THE_GUN confirmed), i'm fully on board with getting CDT, i was on board beforehand as well but having some decent mids coming through is nice

also if we don't get reid, i'd be very happy with 2 of CDT, sharp, duursma & greeves. i'd also be fine with another player who shows even more promise than them (would suck if a kpf became the best player at pick 3 but what could ya do)

don't think i'm as down on this draft as some others

What exactly did i confirm your post is confusing

I've been intending to get something up for Cameron Nairn for a while now and this strong performance by him for SA on the weekend is the perfect opportunity. He's been super consistent this year, taking marks and banging in the goals for Central Districts. Here we saw him playing wing and high half forward, presenting super strongly as a connector around the ground and sliding down into the forward 50 to take a number of strong marks. He kicked three and could have had a couple more.
