Nah, with the respect for woman stance the AFL has taken a hard line on, there is no way on Gods green earth that they would not sanction a player who forwarded on nudes of a woman to another player, without her permission.Dunno, I reckon you might be expecting the AFL to have some kind of consistency between the sanctions they hand out and the punishment under the law. Which is... logical of course, but also nothing close to reality.
Cos you know, the punishment under the law should scale with severity of the harm done, whereas punishment under the AFL scales with how much the media is jumping up and down about any given thing.

Ooooooooooh. Titillating!
Please, anyone know what was said between the two young males who thought they were having a private conversation, about a female?
Because I reckon this would be the first time any young blokes would ever do anything like this. Sexual, complimentary or disparaging. Don't reckon young guys or old guys for that matter have ever had a private convo involving anything like that.
If someone said that about my wife within her earshot they'd want to be a fast runner. To all the "jeez it's no big deal whats all the fuss about" people ...
Seperate it out:
Do you want our club to denounce this TYPE of behaviour against women? Of course we do. Is this the worst example of said behaviour? That doesn't matter, we are talking about an in-principle decision.
Young men sharing images of a woman without permission - that's a simple ... Don't.
The second incident, same deal. We do not support that type of language about women. Right? Not "try and say it when no-one is listening" or "it happens all the time". If the woman targeted was your mum or daughter or wife or friend ... would you be so lenient on the boys-will-be-boys angle - I wouldn't, so I don't defend it when it's pointed at someone else.

But really, I think a lot is being made of not much.
I’m just gobsmacked with all the supposed education that these professional players are given that this shit still happens.
Then again, we are talking about footballers so why am I surprised.
Look, it was a private conversation which was recorded by the "victim" without permission.I’m just gobsmacked with all the supposed education that these professional players are given that this shit still happens.

Ever met an 18 to 23 year old bloke who spends all day with other 18 to 23 year old blokes?
Quite frankly how rarely this stuff happens is a credit to the industry all things considered.
Yeh, so you think sharing a pic is acceptable, and I’m not talking about showing the pic either.
I’m not so naive to believe showing or talking about someone doesn’t happen.
In what world did I say that?
Because its like the road toll. You didn’t but I’m just amused how all the education seems not to be hitting the mark.
Because its like the road toll.
We all know we shouldn't speed, we all know we shouldn't drink or do drugs and drive, or drive while extremely fatigued.
But there's still people who dont pay attention to the education and warnings we all get.
You are making the mistake of thinking "pursue the matter further" means proceed to prosecute.
SAPOL investigate everything that comes their way.
Even if there was no nudity, and there was a matter brought before them by the biggest AFL club in the state, they would speak to all parties, as it could be harassment, stalking, whatever.
Nah, with the respect for woman stance the AFL has taken a hard line on, there is no way on Gods green earth that they would not sanction a player who forwarded on nudes of a woman to another player, without her permission.
The thing I find interesting is that every single publication has omitted any reference to nude or intimate, yet everyone on here believes it was.
Exactly my thoughts tooMust admit I'm kind of interested who leaked photo incident to the media 4-5 months after the fact, and their motivation?
My thoughts too, a lot of hypocrites on this board or they're too old to remember!Ever met an 18 to 23 year old bloke who spends all day with other 18 to 23 year old blokes?

At my age I don’t want to forgetMy thoughts too, a lot of hypocrites on this board or they're too old to remember!
It happens in all parts of society not just footballers, they just have more focus on themI’m just gobsmacked with all the supposed education that these professional players are given that this shit still happens.
