Trainor wasn't having a great game and last week we all cracked the shits because Lalor got injured late after playing for 10 weeks.

Trainor was going fine and is far better defensively than McIntosh. Everyone worried about a late injury needs to grow a brain, it wasn’t a 5 day break this time FFS.

Remember this game in 2017? We were up by 5 goals at 3 QTR time and lost inside the last minute. That was devastating. This was eye opening.

Loved Sims' game. Hopefully tonight gives him some confidence at the top level and also with this will develop his composure with his goal kicking.

As as soon as our score reached 10.17 I thought 'Oh no, why does that ring a bell?'.

That was the score we kicked all those years ago when Cameron kicked the winning goal with 10 seconds left (OK - we went on to win the flag that year, but I don't go for omens that much).

How about Lynch missing that reasonably easy shot late in the 3rd, and the GWS log of a ruckman kicking from exactly the same spot for a goal early in the 4th?

We all knew deep down this was the likely result after missing all those shots early on.

another great game by kmac2, but i swear he's getting ****ed over in rotations. only 62% tog

pretty sure he started on the bench (again) and only got on at the 12 minute mark, and then also starts on the bench after half time meaning there's 14-16 minutes where he's not playing when he's most likely fresh when he should be used right away and let him rest if he has tank issues later



but still, for 62% tog he had 18 touches, 12 contested and 4 clearances at 83% efficiency

once he gets up to speed and in the main midfield rotations, he'll be huge

I wouldn't call it shameful. We lost for multiple reasons, ran out of steam, kicking for goal was crap and most importantly I think it's the first time this season where a team has put on a run of goals and our young players were unable or didn't know how to kill the ball.

Hopefully, this loss stings and they will learn from it. It's like those games 10 years ago where we lost the game after the siren, think of Karmichael Hunt as one example. We will get better.

At the end of the day who would have thought we would take it up to the Giants?
